The history of music artists: The Moon and the Nightspirit
The Moon and the Nightspirit is a folk music duo founded in 2003 by Ágnes Tóth og Mihály Szabó, and the duo is coming from Hungary. Their songs are mainly about pagan adventures and shamanism.
We can all read the Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie, making India to be occupied by Great Britain to be alone and getting the freedom and the independent version of their human beings and their works anywhere on the globe. The band The Moon and the Nightspirit also happened about night, and all places are the same when the night and the moon is there, because it is darkness several places. But this band and the book from Salman Rushdie, can make hope and progress even when there is night, and there is completely much darkness different places at the globe, and this has something to do with the placement to the earth in relation to the sun. So, there is hope in hanging string, even at night.
We find different music from the Moon and the Nightspirit at the ordinary music platforms as YouTube, Spotify, YouTube Music and Deezer. And you can listen to the music that you want, and just can imagine from time to time. The record company that this duo is using is Equilibrium Music, and equilibrium is a state when the different conditions balance and are in order.
The Moon and the Nightspirit have received favourable ratings by reviewers. Their style has been called slightly oriental as well as a mix of medieval music and Hungarian folk songs, while Ágnes Tóth's singing has been compared to Elisabeth Toriser of Dargaard. And the name of the duo marks that things are happening through the night, and that the moon is not just a yellow cheese, but it is an amazing satellite in the world and in the universe, and the moon is making light due to the reflection from the sun. And nightspirit is something we have when we are active during the night. This duo has remained active since 2003, and it is still active.
The most famous songs from The Moon and the Nightspirit are «The Secret Path», «Pagan» and «Alkonyvarázs». And these songs reveal that there are different paths in the human nature and in the nature, and they are telling things about reality, and what we can know, and what just few people know. And they are also operating with non-Jewish and non-Christians environments, and therefore they are singing about pagan. And some songs are also about shamanism. And shamanism is about changing states of consciousness to get contact with the spirit world, and to give this spirit with energy back to the world.
The sound of The Moon and the Nightspirit is actually a bit difficult to describe, because there’s a lot going on in Aether. Between them, Tóth and Szabó play violins, dulcimers, harps, keyboards, percussions, kalimbas, and acoustic guitars (including basses) – they also both contribute vocals, with harsh chants and singing in the band’s native Hungarian.
There are several music vidoes with The Moon and the Nightspirit on the internet, and these are: «Aether», «Egnyitó» and «Regõ rejtem». And there are also different albums from this group and duo, and these are: «Aether», «Metanoia», «Holdrejtek», «Mohalepte», «Õsforras», «Regõ Rejtem» and «Of Dreams Forgotten and Fables Untold». Therefore, we find music many places from this duo, and they are both playing and singing.
The latest album Aether was nominated for the album of the year in the annual contest DARK MUSIC AWARDS 2020.
