Summer Dreamers. For World of Xpilar Portrait Contest
After double isolation born by two dark powers, the gloom of winter and the pandemic, it is good to meet new people at last. Twice better when you meet nice persons as @qwerrie and @daybook turned to be. The first Steemians I ever met and the experience was great.
We visited an outdoor exhibition of retro vehicles yesterday and did some urban exploration in yards of historical St. Petersburg. I hope we will continue soon.
One of the photos I took that day was of these kids in a vintage trolleybus.
I noticed that beautiful reflection and children, and I raised the camera, ready to take an image. However, the kids didn’t want to stop fighting for the driver’s seat. I was watching them through the viewfinder until I got annoyed and commented out of loud: "Jesus! Sit down at last!"
Then, their mother emerged from the crowd and asked me what I had just said. I explained I wanted these kids to take the seats. To my surprise, the mom commanded the children to stop the quarrel and sit. They obeyed for a few seconds. I took two photos, showed them to the mom, thanked her and we wished each other good day.

мой длинный пост уже готов, завтра после обеда наверное он пойдет к людям.
А я просто застыл с этой сценой и вы прошли мимо ... Вообще, мне понравилось, что мы были вместе, но при этом как-то кто-то тут, а кто-то там, и никто терялся, все вроде сами по себе, но и вроде вместе. Было бы круто пройтись по Питеру вместе еще раз - по дворам каким-нибудь.
Убеждать людей? .. Я очень на это надеюсь. Иногда мне кажется, что у меня вообще нет никаких задатков и талантов, кроме есть и спать ))
Жду длинный пост. Спасибо за фотки. Я-то только одну сделал вас, но .. кажется, ничего, нормальная... Я думаю, я ее опубликую с другой фоткой на конкурс - из дворов.

Nice photo @datych and I enjoyed reading the story of how you took it. I nearly pictured you shouting at children for the perfect shot! Mums are usually the authority. Sometimes under cover.

You’re also lucky that the girl took the driver’s seat when you photoed them as this gives you the option to link the image to women’s rights, gender equality, etc. and elaborate on these.
That reminds me the time when we were little, it was such adventure to travel with buses and we all wanted to pretend to be drivers :)
