My Year 2020 Contest | Negative & Positive Aspect Entry By @Bright-obias

Hello Steemians.

Welcome to my blog today. Responding to the call to Write about My Year 2020 by @ stef1. I will be writing to you about my year - how it went, both the Negative and the positive aspect. So read through to the end to glimpse from what i have here.

First, i will like to thank the initiator of this amazing contest. Honestly speaking, i am very very much happy to be a participant as i have got more to share about the year 2020 and my experience so far. This is actually my first time of participating on a contest that is related to this topic and to its kind, The organiser of it. Now lets dive into Me and 2020:

January 2020: The Genesis Of 2020

Every year usually starts with this month called january also known as a month of hard times, in the sense that most people especially from my country Nigeria may not have recovered from their expenses on the Xmas season. It is also a month whereby all annual fees are been repaid. Fees like House Rent, Shop Rent and other likes of this.

During this time, i was at another state in my country. Despite the nature of the month i was able to sustain myself even as i was not at home. Although there was a time when the turbulent of the month arose but with the techniques and wisdom that God installed inside of me, i was able to surpass the situation. Then i was working serious to earn money for myself so as to support my educational career and other financial related issues. To be sincere It was not easy at all.

The job i do, i started it two months earlier before i began to experience My Year 2020. A painting job to be precise, and this was what i was doing when i met the Genesis of the Year 2020. During that time i worked very had as you can see from the images below.

I was working seriously here until i had problem on my eyes. I could not work again because it was too painful and i couldn't bear it. I had to stop.

As you can see on the above image, i got a problem on my eyes. It happened in a way that when i was working, unfortunately a hip of sand fell into my eyes and that was how i stopped working for that moment.

Still on the pains of my eyes, i was then told to start working on the down part of the building instead of staying idle and it will not disturb eyes that much. During this time i suffered but after some days the pains cleared when i took drugs.

I spent 1month and some weeks working on this site. It was a kind of stress to me but i thank God because everything happens for good to them that believe. I left and came back to my own state around the month of Feb.

March 2020 - ^{Negative aspect of 2020} : The Rise Of Corona Virus (Covid-19)

The year was moving smoothly with lot of side goodies that was coming my way until a deadly virus that was found around 2019 December called COVID-19. The virus began its ravaging from the chinese country. Its ravaging affected my activities as i couldn't go out for work because of the Lockdown that later broke out in my own country as a result of this virus Pandemic.

During this time i couldn't go out for work, it was indeed a hard time. I was just managing the little money that i was able to save during my working days. The only fact that sustained me was that despite the serious lockdown there was a close by shop that usually sells some food stuff. So i relied on the shop but a point came my acquired money finished. I was left with little money to sustain myself - so horrible and painful!

Within this time, i had a rethink of going back to start my steeming journey since there was no other means of getting money. I could remember that i created an account with steemit But i stopped because i didn't know how to it, i don't know what i will write that will fetch me instant money. That was why i left the account. I thought of this bitterly, but i had to start first.

I started steeming seriously, even when i had no valuable outcome i kept on steeming. With the small amount of money that was left with me, i used it to pay subscription to use the internet with the faith of achieving something in return. Fortunate for me, i started making out some little dividends from the money i used to pay for subscription.

October 2020 - ^{The Positive Aspect Of 2020} : The Joys Of My year 2020

Around The month of october, i started smiling although there was no lockdown again but the case was that my job ceased and it was because of the lockdown that just ended but however i did not bother because i was now getting some crucial upvotes and making some $$$, as well.

I celebrated my 12 moon on steem platform with my account (@bright-obias) reaching its first 1000sp, The month of october was a wonderful month for me because i was ready to quite the work i do just to focus on steem blockchain. The support was too enormous. I really appreciate the steemit team, they are behind this success story.

After 2weeks of approaching the month of october, the support was still unending. The joy was still unending also haha. On a faithful morning when i woke up, i got a call from @ngoenyi a fellow steemalive member. She is one of the great minds that i have met here on steemit. The information was that i have been made a country Representative by the steemit team. With great joy i Quickly rushed and saw the below lines:

In Nigeria @focusnow and the SteemAlive team are doing some great recruitment so we would also like to invite two more people to become Country Reps there as well...

On this post by @steemitblog. There was a great joy in me when i saw that announcement. Out of my excess joy i went and bought laptop for easy steeming. I also made a proposal post of getting new smart phone for myself of which the steemit team supported me and today i now have a phone and a laptop, all this i achieved during my year 2020.

The above are what i achieved this year 2020 with the support of the steemit team. I say a very big thanks to them. I must confess, This year has been a favourable year to me.

December 2020: The Death Of My Granny

At the ending part of the year, i heard the death of my granny. It was not a sad news though as she has gotten to the age of celebration. Below is an image of my granny.

We celebrated her death as she died at a very good age. This year 2020 is year that has many packages both the negative and the positive aspect, they were all for a purpose and i think some parts of these purpose has manifested in my life. Thank you very much for going through my experience this year. I appreciate your valid time a lot.
