The Diary Game 18/10/23 | Weekend with the Boys | Off-grid Life in the Outskirts of Sofia

Greetings people of Steemit and the WOX Community!

Today I’m sharing you a typical going out with the boys trip from my school years, well as far as i remember it.

I decided to make this post under a diary game, because it is basically a memory from the diary deep inside my mind. You know today I’ve had a little more time and recently i think a lot about my school years, it’s just everything was shinier back then, more fun you know, now you have just work and little weekends where you decide to go out with some friends or work on yourself and I’m working on myself constantly, cuz casual outings with friends will not keep me sane for much more.

Anyway working on yourself is not much more of a hard work, but discipline, you know the concept of infinite motivation is something that looks not very possible nowadays, because we’re always distracted by something and yet I’m doing my best to go straight and going straight random memories from the past appear and some days ago this memory appeared in my mind and I decided to check some throwback if i had something and it turned out i have let’s say mixed photos and memories of it.

Anyway our story starts with the outskirts of Sofia and the date says Friday, but of course it’s friday i was having school in that age. Hehe. Anyway long story short i have a friend who has a villa in this village which is basically in a different town in the outskirts of Sofia called Kladnitsa. Well it’s not a town, but a small village in a town nearby the outskirts of Sofia I don’t want to make you confused, but know that anything outside the capital is basically hills, mountains, forest and small towns. 😅

So you know it was the typical boys trip where we take some raw meat to make some barbecue or as some people call it grill, drink beer, play cards like Belote, do stupid stuff and chat gossip things. Well this post is going to be a little personal, but why i tell you that, because i have some let’s say raw material of greenery which brings good vibes to the story.

Anyway the first day we went there and basically started chilling in this place you know nothing special except the typical young people stuff, enjoying the views and the sound of nature whilst drinking booze and listening to music.

The second photo by the way was a view from the roof of my friend’s house and the second is basically the house of his neighbours which are the typical sweet grandma and grandpa which are very good friends with my friend’s parents and let us get some of their organic grown food such as tomatoes and cucumbers.

Anyway let’s get into the journey shall we?

So on the next day we hopped on to the SUV and decided to go for a walk into the woods, i really can’t remember where we went exactly, but all you need to know is that it was into the woods and the outskirts of the city Pernik which is the next city after Sofia. Anyway we went into the woods for a good walk and it seems i managed to take some photos back then.

The strange thing is that these lands were basically a wild lands you know like wild forests, but they seemed to look like a some national reserve at least some parts of it. Some parts looked like eco paths full with little rivers that honestly looked very similar to some other places i was, well maybe it’s all a little strange, but it sure is weird to find that kind of mix between eco paths and wild forests. On the way we also saw other hikers and people walking in the nature, so this was the least strange thing on the way.

After a lot of walking and talking and laughing telling some stories with the boys we finally found some high ground that I wouldn’t remember that much if it wasn’t for this photo. (we were kinda drunk after all the stupid stuff we were talking and I remember clearly that this view looked like a little bit like a view from the game Uncharted, that was the game we used to play the most recently in that time) 😅

Well yeah this is the game looking landscape I’m talking. In live it looked like a video game, well back then the graphics of the game we used to play looked a lot like real life, if I’m not mistaken it still looks like it, just search Uncharted 4 and you’ll see what I’m talking about. 😄

Anyway the only personal stupid thing I’m gonna share with you is that we basically didn’t have a driver’s license and only one of us had, because he was 12th grade and he was a little drunk too, so basically after all the good walk he decided to take the X5 to a little off-road experience and almost made the car overturn on some dirt road. I’m telling you we also weren’t thinking straight and not because he might do something stupid, because he was drunk, but because the minute we were going to enter the city there’s police, but no we were little geniuses and knew that there was some parade in the city nearby and knew that most of the police will be there so we took our chances and it worked. You know back in the day our friend who drove tells that silly story to girls and it kinda worked. 😂

Anyway we went back to the villa from all the extreme experience to take some rest and get ready for the night. Oh god now writing this post more and more memories pop up of what silly things we talked about that night i write this post with smile. Anyway here’s a highlight photo of one of our friends who prepares the bbq.

Now writing i am getting nostalgic you know, cuz i miss the good old days when everything was simpler you know there’s no better moments for men than to be around a table drink alcohol talking stupid stuff laughing and playing cards you know. Here’s another highlight photo of that night, just to get you in more in the atmosphere of this memory.

The final memory of this off-grid life I experienced or at least the most of it I experienced wasn’t going to be fulfilled if we didn’t make fire that night, so here’s another highlight photo of the night.

You know most of the times it turns out that the most memorable moments are the moments where you do something totally different than of what you used to be you know. I mean how many people go to some bar on the weekends getting the deja vù effect almost every week. This memory is something different to me you know it’s maybe not the landscapes it’s not maybe the trip or the booze, it’s the people you are around and the silly stuff you do with them. I’m telling you there’s not more precious thing than being with your boys and talking sh*t. 😍

For all the men who will read this post do you agree? Forget being somewhere flashy and expensive forget being in a club with 20 chicks, wherever you are you are with your boys right? And the thing you will never get tired of is being with them doing boys stuff.

I’m ending this post like i started it with the random forest picture, i just had it in my memories with all the other photos so i figured it would be good to start and to end with it. I’m gonna say that some of the photos have filters, but I don’t remember it, so sorry. Anyway i hope you enjoyed my story, see ya! 👋🏻😄
