Weekly Contest, "Playing photographer #5. Stores and Products - Extreme for a gourmet.

Since man left the Garden of Eden and was forced to take care of his own food he had to face many risks to his own life in order to get food for lunch.

These risks awaited him everywhere: in the forest he could meet predatory animals and in the sea he had to catch fish in the vicinity of hungry sharks.

But as they say hunger is a strong motivator and a person takes certain risks to satisfy it.

Nowadays in theory unless you voluntarily decide to expose yourself to the risk of eating puffer fish in an expensive restaurant and trust fate by eating the poisonous flesh of the fish then it seems that talking about serious risks is of little relevance but in practice, everything is different.

Every day going to the supermarket we risk encountering the human factor, and this is extremely risky because the integrity of those who supply products to stores and those who sell them is a very delicate matter that breaks easily.

So, I want to present three photographs taken one fine day when, suddenly we wanted to try fish cutlets and for this we decided to buy minced fish from hake and oposchi as ingredients for cutlets and as a side dish.

Minced fish or pressed hake fillet looked attractive but after reading the post to the end you will understand how this is associated with risks for a gourmet.

Adding some grated carrots to fish cakes would be the worst thing so we go to the vegetable section of the supermarket to get it.

Cutlets without onions are impossible at least for us, and there is never too much of it.

Having bought all this and much more, potatoes spices bread for soaking in milk and adding to minced fish we happily went home in anticipation of fragrant fish cutlets.

You know sometimes when our plans fall apart and this was the case we should thank God for it.

My daughter very carefully sorted through the fish fillet before putting it into the meat grinder and discovered a huge orange helminth which was not at all afraid of frost and began to show signs of life.

The minced fish was returned to the store after some arguing with the saleswoman who tried to reassure us that all the fish sold had helminths lol.

It’s one thing to know something but a completely different thing to see it with your own eyes and force yourself to eat the soup in which a fly is swimming knowing that it cannot be ruled out that other flies could swim in this soup before it.
