Digital Art, New Competition (No.25) - Honey of someone else's life.

Greetings to all residents of Steemit!

I hope that your morning today and your whole life no matter what you are going through is sweet as honey because there is nothing more valuable than life.

Thoughts about the value of your own life about gratitude to God for it without regard to how those around you live became the main idea of the photo painting that I decided to create from several photographs that I took in different places and at different times but when combined, they can illustrate the wrong attitude towards life.

You've probably met those who are always dissatisfied with their own lives.

They look with envy at everyone who in their opinion has a more comfortable home eats better drives a more luxurious car rests better dresses better and smiles more often and this smile greatly irritates those who are dissatisfied with their own lives.

But in order to understand your wrongness and wrong attitude towards life you need to be in someone else’s shoes to understand all the subtle nuances that as a rule remain behind the scenes.

I depicted a well-fed and well-groomed cat who looks with envy at the tiger but does not see the high fence of steel bars that restrict the movement of the predator around the enclosure at the zoo and sees a large carp which seems to the cat much tastier than the fish that is offered to him every day his master.

Life outside one’s home seems like honey to a cat but life in one’s own home is like a routine for him and something that is not worth special attention and gratitude.

Apparently the owner loved the cat very much and took care of him but the cat was bored at home and he went for a walk and lay on the bench for hours looking at the world through the cloudy glass of the bus stop fence.

What thoughts were in the cat’s mind remains a mystery but I decided to make some guess lol.

I thought that an envious glance at a beautiful tiger who was resting and looking happy would be quite realistic for such a situation.

I took this photo at the zoo but here you can’t see the steely care behind which this tiger is nothing but a well-fed captive and there is no smell of the honey of life here at all.

I started combining photos in the free online photo editor pixlr.com.

I placed the tiger in place of the cloudy and dirty glass.

I added several layers to each photo to achieve the desired result.

I decided to illustrate the cat’s thoughts about tasty fish using a photograph of a koi carp which I took on the same day and in the same zoo as the photograph with the tiger.

I needed the bottom carp in the photo.

Instead of gray aphalt we now see the green water of a poorly maintained aquarium in which they kept koi carp and the koi carp itself which with its gaze seems to say to the cat: Eat me!

Although dreams are full of envy this is something that can hardly be called something bright but it doesn’t seem that way to those who dream and therefore I decided to work a little on the lighting and bokeh spots.

The result is a painting that can be viewed in both color and sepia tones which ties the elements of the painting together well.
