Stemonitis axial is a representative of a unique class of "fungi-animals". It can be found in forests and parks in any corner of the planet except for the Arctic and Antarctic. It grows from mid-summer to the end of autumn, until the first frosts hit. It is classified as inedible species, there is no data on poisonous or toxic substances in its composition in open sources.

There is an opinion that slime molds are related to oncology and metastases are their way of reproduction in the body. A solid conspiracy theory? Who knows.

In any case, be careful in the forest with mushrooms and unfamiliar species... plants.

Стемонитис осевой является представителем уникального класса «грибов-животных». Его можно обнаружить в лесах и парках в любом уголке планеты за исключением Арктики и Антарктики. Растет с середины лета до конца осени, пока не ударят первые заморозки. Отнесен к несъедобным видам, данных о ядовитых или токсичных веществах в его составе в открытых источниках нет.
