Last year, in early May, my wife and I organized a family trip to the museum of the narrow-gauge railway. The organizers of the excursion call this place a museum, but in fact it is even a fully functioning railway depot and a narrow-gauge railway. This place is called the village of Karintorf. It was organized during the Second World War, when many enterprises were evacuated from the western regions of the USSR to the rear. Thermal power plants were built for their work, which generated heat and electricity, and peat was often the fuel for them at that time. Peat was delivered to the place with the help of a "children's railway", which is actually quite adult.
I myself grew up in a forest village, and such a railway was the main type of transport for the removal of wood from the forest to the wood processing enterprise and loading it into the wagons of a large railway.

В прошлом году в первых числах мая мы с женой организовали семейный выезд в музей узкоколейной железной дороги. Музеем это место называют устроители экскурсии, но на самом деле это даже вполне действующее железнодорожное депо и железная дорога узкого форма. Это место называется поселок Каринторф. Он был организован во время Второй Мировой войны, когда с западных регионов СССР были эвакуированы многие предприятия в тыл. Для их работы были построены ТЭЦ, которые вырабатывали тепло и электроэнергию, а топливом для них в те времена часто являлся торф. Вывозили его "детской железной дороге", которая на самом деле является вполне взрослой.
Я сам вырос в лесном поселке и такая железная дорога была основным видом транспортом по вывозке древесины из леса на предприятие переработки древесины и погрузки его уже а вагоны большой железной дороги.

Especially it is very popular with people with the onset of spring and before the onset of winter. Peat is no longer transported from the marshes to the power plant, the rails have long been collected and sold. Now there is a very small section connecting the settlements. It's all about the river you need to cross. There is no highway bridge here, so you can't drive by car. In recent years, a pontoon bridge has been organized in the summer, but this is a temporary solution.

ТУ-6. Этот тепловоз с пассажирскими вагонами ездит несколько раз от Каринторфа до города Кирово-Чепецк и обратно. Особенно он пользуется большой популярностью у людей с наступлением весны и до наступления зимы. Торф больше не возят с болот к электростанции, рельсы давно все собрали и продали. Остался небольшой участок соединяющий населенный пункт. Всё дело в реке, через которую нужно переезжать. шоссейного моста здесь нет, поэтому на автомобиле не проехать. В последние годы летом организуют понтонный мост, но это временное решение.

This hand trolley is very popular with visiting tourists. They can ride it on their own. Of course, no one tried to steal it far away... and where to go on it? nowhere. The train will pass only where the path is laid.

Эта ручная дрезина пользуется очень большой популярностью у приезжих туристов. На ней они могут самостоятельно прокатиться. Конечно, никто не пытался угнать её далеко... а куда ехать на ней? некуда. Поезд проедет лишь там, где проложен путь.

TU-2. As a child, I saw this diesel locomotive on TV. It was used in Moscow on the children's railway. It seemed to me very modern, because it looked like a diesel locomotive from a large railway. But it turned out to be the opposite! It was older and less powerful than the diesel locomotive, which was smaller in size.


TU-4. He was a real hard worker on our railroad. He could carry 4 special platforms-couplers with long trees. The TU-7 could take up to 8 such platforms, then the TU-8, TU-9 appeared... And then everything disappeared.

ТУ-4. Это был настоящий труженик на нашей железной дороге. Он мог везти 4 специальных платформы-сцепки с длинными деревьями. ТУ-7 мог брать до 8 таких платформ, потом появились ТУ-8, ТУ-9... А потом всё исчезло.
