Renato Massari is an Italian painter born in 1947.
In 1989 he obtained international recognition with the OSCAR OF MOTECARLO award.
The following is a critique by Nino Scalisi:

In this painting the artist paints summer. A hot, almost sweltering summer.
In looking at this painting there is a sense of dryness, and the fallen leaves on the ground are symbolic of the extreme heat that the artist has tried to reproduce.

In this detail we see the leaves glued to the painting. Using a special technique, the artist dried the leaves and treated them; after gluing them, he painted them.

In this detail we see the sun. A sun mastering a sky with a total absence of clouds.

Gran trabajo un atardecer realmente romántico es una gran obra bien merecida la deferencia. Felicitaciones
Guardando il sole al centro si vede un colore rossastro che si ripete in tutto il dipinto, terra compresa, le foglie secche mi fanno pensare all'autunno che inaugura la calda estate, rappresenta senza dubbio il caldo inclemente e il bisogno di umidità nel terreno e anche nelle foglie, mi fanno pensare a rinfrescare la natura, tutto richiede un po' di pioggia.

you hit the mark, this painting wants to convey the scorching heat, it was a sort of premonition (done in 2014) for what would happen in the next decade, that is exactly the decades we live in right now. In fact, in this decade, drought is a problem that is gripping various nations of the world

Che bei colori autunnali! A voi possono ricordare la siccità, mentre a noi un autunno che sa di primavera inoltrata (che è praticamente il clima che dovrebbe esserci negli autunni subtropicali, ma il tempo anche qui cambia).

Aspetto sempre di vedere i quadri di tuo padre e ogni volta sono una piacevole sorpresa!
Anche questo non delude, attira lo sguardo e ti immerge nel caldo torrido di agosto!

Ciao Robby, innanzitutto grazie per il tuo commento meraviglioso. Questo quadro ha praticamente otto anni, ed è stato uno di quei dipinti che faceva parte dell’ultima serie. L’ho visto tante volte perchè essendo tra gli ultimi dipinti era in vista… ma mai come oggi, nell’osservarlo, avverto un forte senso del caldo … sembra quasi che questo dipinto fosse una premonizione. In questo quadro si sente il caldo torrido, si respira la siccità di questa estate 2022.
Esatto! vabbè abbiamo già detto che tuo padre era troppo avanti rispetto ai tempi, ci sta che con la sua sensibilità "sentisse" anche il problema del clima!

Non ho un grande background nell'arte, ma una grande opera ti colpisce subito e ti lascia quella sensazione di stupore mista ad emozione dentro. Complimenti all'artista, davvero un quadro eccezionale.
Grazie @frafiomatale, L’artista in questione è mio padre. Non dipinge più ma è ancora in vita. Tra gli anni 70 e gli anni 90 fece anche un certo percorso che gli portó un pizzico di notorietà in alcune parti d’ Italia e anche in qualche paese europeo. Poi è sparito dalle scene negli anni 2000.
Complimenti al papà! Anche tu dipingi? Te lo chiedo perché spesso le abilità dei padri si trasmettono ai figli, a me il mio ha trasmesso la passione per la scrittura (e la mamma quella per il calcio 😄)
