Media puts Bangladesh team under pressure: USA coach

in Italylast month

Hello sports lovers

Cricket is the most popular sport in Bangladesh. With the win and loss in this game, the cricketers are under pressure. The Tigers did not perform as expected in the recently concluded US series. The cricketers are facing a lot of criticism due to the T20 series loss to the ICC associate member team USA. Even after winning the series against Zimbabwe, the performance was not satisfactory.

US team coach Stewart Law thinks that media pressure is hurting the Bangladesh team. The United States is the co-host of this year's T20 World Cup. Although only one player in their team has World Cup experience, it is Corey Anderson, who has played in the World Cup for New Zealand. After losing two consecutive T20 matches to such a team, Bangladesh was in danger of losing the series. However, the Tigers managed to avoid that shame by defeating the United States by 10 wickets in the last match.

The country's cricket officials are looking for the reason for Bangladesh's defeat in the first two matches. Stuart Law thinks that the United States' desire to win was more than that of the Bangladesh team. He said, "In the first two matches, we had more desire and passion to win. The atmosphere of this match was different, we were a bit nervous. Bangladesh also played well."

Stuart Law once served as the coach of the Under-19 team of Bangladesh. He said, "Bangladesh is a good team. You (media) put them under a lot of pressure. There are some good batsmen in this team. There are some good bowlers too, who have good pace. And because of the spinners, Bangladesh will always be strong. They are a good team. There is." He added, "Bangladesh cricketers are under a lot of pressure, which affects their performance. But with the right focus and support, this team can do much better." In this way, we should continue to support and love Bangladeshi cricketers so that they can show their best performance.

However, support and love alone do not end the job. Players also need mental and physical training, proper counseling and institutional support. "If the Bangladesh team is managed properly and gets the necessary training and support, they will do better," said Stuart Law. He added, "The media should encourage the players and be patient with them. Because they always try to give their best performance."

It can be said from past experience that Bangladesh team has performed well many times even under pressure. For example, the winning moment against England in the 2015 World Cup and the thrilling win against Pakistan in the 2018 Asia Cup. These achievements prove that the Bangladesh team has the potential and is capable of playing world-class cricket. So, we should support the team and be by their side, so that they can give their best performance. It is very important to be there for the players to reduce their stress and keep the balance between expectations and achievements.

Stuart Law's opinion is an important lesson for us. The media should show a positive attitude towards the game and not put undue pressure on the players. We should help them build mental strength and confidence, so that they can give their best performance on the field. Therefore, if we all stand by Bangladesh team and support them, they will perform better and make us proud.

Here in Italy the sport of cricket is really little known. Instead it seems to me that cricket is one of the most popular sports in Bangladesh. Is that so?
