What is certain is that, despite the threat of postponement hanging over the players' heads following the covid-19 positives of Alex Sandro and Cuadrado on the one hand and Rebic and Krunic on the other, Milan and Juventus players will do all they can to win the game and continue to cultivate their respective dreams. In the year of the second Scudetto of Maradona's Napoli, Milan and Juventus faced each other at San Siro on the eleventh day; contrary to expectations, the Bianconeri, coached by Dino Zoff, arrived in a better condition to the match, strong with the second place in the standings, only two lengths away from Napoli, while Milan had to face a nightmarish start of the season, with only ten points collected in ten days.
The first half was rather boring, but in the second half the two teams woke up and both sought victory: two penalties, converted by Van Basten for the hosts and De Agostini for Juventus, left the game in the balance until the 20th minute, when Schillaci, close to the magic nights of Italia '90, put his team ahead.
However, Milan doesn't want to lose the last train for the Scudetto fight and draws with a splendid stroke of Donadoni on a free kick, then wins the match, in the final assaults, thanks to Van Basten, who takes advantage of a hole in the Bianconeri rearguard.
Juventus finished fourth, but took home the UEFA Cup, while Milan, who played a great second half of the season, finished second in the championship, but above all won the Champions Cup.
Juventus' most exciting victory

On a spring afternoon a hypothetical handover between Milan, reigning Italian champions, and Marcello Lippi's Juventus, destined to win, after nine years of abstinence, the 23rd championship in its history, took place at the San Siro Stadium.
Just as in the first leg, the Bianconeri imposed a footballing lesson on their opponents, dominating them for the full 90 minutes: Ravanelli scored his first goal at the end of the first half in the Milanese stadium, and Gianluca Vialli rounded off the Bianconeri's magical evening with the second goal at the end of the match.
For Juventus, in addition to the Scudetto, success also came in the Italian Cup, but the Bianconeri had to suffer the bitterness of defeat in the final of the Uefa Cup, while for Milan, in addition to an anonymous championship ended in fourth place, there was also the mockery of defeat in the final of the Champions League, at the hands of Ajax.
Milan's biggest victory

In the only Serie A championship in history to be played with an odd number of teams (21), due to the repechage of Triestina, Juventus and Milan could only play the role of spectators to the flight of Torino, destined to easily win its fifth championship.
The two teams faced each other in Milan on the twelfth day to give life, according to the predictions made on the eve of the match, to an uncertain clash, but one that appeared unbalanced from the first minutes.
The bianconeri, perhaps still asleep after the rest period taken on the previous day, never entered the game and the two goals conceded in the first half seemed to already direct the game in an unequivocal way, closed by the double of Carapellese and by the goal of Gratton in the second half.
Milan and Juventus ended the championship in second place, but sixteen points behind Torino.
Juventus' biggest victory

In one of the worst evenings in the Milan's memory, Juventus, European champions and on their way to the second Champions League final in two years, beat the defending Italian champions with a superb performance of total football, in the style of Holland in the 70s.
The guests' dominance was both technical and physical: in midfield Zidane, Jugovic and Tacchinardi devoured the technical but slender Savicevic, Boban and Desailly, while Baresi and Maldini in defence could do nothing against the power and freshness of Vieri and Bokcsic.
The first half ended with a double advantage for the guests, but it was in the second half that Juve went on the rampage: Vieri and Jugovic scored a double each, which, together with the goals of Zidane and Amoruso, gave the Bianconeri fans one of the most unforgettable joys of modern times.
Despite their dominance in the league, Juventus failed to prevail in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund, while Milan had a season to forget, being eliminated from the group stage and finishing 11th in the league.

Anche il Milan tuttavia, nonostante non vedrebbe pregiudicare troppo la propria classifica in caso di risultato negativo, potrebbe risentire psicologicamente di una sconfitta contro una delle rivali storiche, dominatrice degli ultimi nove campionati, eil rischio di non sentirsi, di colpo, all'altezza della posizione nobile occupata, potrebbe rivelarsi dietro l'angolo.
Quel che appare certo è che, nonostante una minaccia di rinvio piombata sulle teste dei calciatori in seguito alle positività al covid-19 di Alex Sandro e Cuadrado da una parte, Rebic e Krunic dall'altra, i giocatori di Milan e Juventus faranno di tutto per aggiudicarsi la partita e continuare nella coltivazione dei rispettivi sogni. Nell'anno del secondo scudetto del Napoli di Maradona, Milan e Juventus si ritrovano di fronte a San Siro all'undicesima giornata; contrariamente alle aspettative sono i bianconeri, allenati da Dino Zoff, ad arrivare in condizioni migliori alla gara, forti del secondo posto in classifica a due sole lunghezze di distacco dal Napoli, mentre il Milan deve far fronte ad un inizio di stagione da incubo, con soli dieci punti raccolti in dieci giornate.
Il primo tempo è piuttosto noioso, ma nella ripresa le due squadre si allungano cercando entrambe la vittoria: due rigori, trasformati da Van Basten per i padroni di casa e da De Agostini per la Juventus, lasciano la gara in equilibrio fino al ventesimo minuto, quando Schillaci, prossimo alle notti magiche di Italia '90, porta in vantaggio la sua squadra.
Il Milan però non ci sta a perdere l'ultimo treno per la lotta scudetto e pareggia con una splendida pennellata di Donadoni su punizione, per poi vincerla, negli assalti finali, grazie a Van Basten, che sfrutta alla perfezione un buco della retroguardia bianconera.
La Juventus chiuderà quarta, portandosi però a casa la Coppa Uefa, mentre per il Milan, capace di disputare una grande seconda parte di stagione, arriverà il secondo posto in campionato, ma soprattutto la vittoria in Coppa dei Campioni.
La più bella vittoria della Juventus
Milan-Juventus 0-2 (01 aprile 1995)
In un pomeriggio primaverile va in scena a San Siro un ipotetico passaggio di consegne tra il Milan, campione d'Italia in carica, e la Juventus di Marcello Lippi, destinata a vincere, dopo nove anni di astinenza, il ventitreesimo scudetto della sua storia.
Così come nella gara d'andata, i bianconeri impongono una vera e propria lezione di calcio agli avversari, dominati per tutti i novanta minuti: Ravanelli segna allo scadere del primo tempo il suo primo goal nello stadio milanese, e Gianluca Vialli conclude la serata magica bianconera con il goal del raddoppio a fine partita.
Per la Juventus, oltre allo scudetto, arriverà il successo anche in Coppa Italia, ma i bianconeri dovranno subire l'amarezza della sconfitta in finale di Coppa Uefa, mentre per il Milan, oltre ad un campionato anonimo concluso al quarto posto, ci sarà anche la beffa della sconfitta in finale di Champions League, per mano dell'Ajax.
La vittoria più larga del Milan

Nell'unico campionato di Serie A della storia disputato con un numero di squadre dispari (21), a causa del ripescaggio della Triestina, Juventus e Milan possono svolgere solo un ruolo da spettatrici alla fuga del Torino, destinato a vincere in scioltezza il suo quinto scudetto.
Le due squadre si ritrovano di fronte a Milano alla dodicesima giornata per dare vita, sulla carta, ad uno scontro incerto, apparso però senza storia fin dai primi minuti.
I bianconeri, forse ancora addormentati dal turno di riposo scontato nella giornata precedente, non entrano mai in partita e le due reti subite nel primo tempo sembrano già indirizzare in maniera inequivocabile la gara, chiusa dalla doppietta di Carapellese e dal goal di Gratton nel secondo tempo.
Lombardi e piemontesi chiuderanno il campionato appaiati al secondo posto, ma staccati di sedici punti dal Torino.
La vittoria più larga della Juventus
Milan-Juventus 1-6 (06 aprile 1997)
In una delle peggiori serate che il Milan ricordi, la Juventus campione d'Europa e lanciata verso la seconda finale di Champions League in due anni, strapazza i campioni d'Italia uscenti con una prestazione superba, di calcio totale, in stile Olanda anni '70.
Lo strapotere degli ospiti è sia tecnico che fisico: a centrocampo Zidane, Jugovic e Tacchinardi si divorano i tecnici ma esili Savicevic, Boban e Desailly, mentre Baresi e Maldini in difesa nulla possono contro la potenza e la freschezza di Vieri e Bokcsic.
Il primo tempo termina con il doppio vantaggio degli ospiti, ma è nella ripresa che la Juve dilaga: Vieri e Jugovic segneranno alla fine una doppietta a testa, che unite alle reti di Zidane e Amoruso regaleranno ai tifosi bianconeri una delle gioie più indimenticabili dei tempi moderni.
Nonostante lo strapotere in campionato, la Juventus non riuscirà però a prevalere nella finale di Champions League contro il Borussia Dortmund, mentre per il Milan quella sarà a tutti gli effetti una stagione da dimenticare, con l'eliminazione ai gironi dalla coppa e l'undicesimo posto in campionato.
