Welcome to the third week of the contest
🏆 ITALYGAME CUPTM 🏆
a ten-week tournament based on predictions for the Italian football league Serie A (or other football tournaments).

Each week, six matches from the Italian football league Serie A (or other football tournaments) will be selected. The participants' task will be to indicate (in the comments) for each match which team will score more goals than their direct opponent, and by how much, or if the two teams will score the same number of goals.
Each correctly predicted result will score three points. Predictions that are wrong by only one goal (either more or less) will score one point, while all other predictions will score zero points.
😀 It is possible to take part in the contest in any week, even if you did not participate in the previous episodes.
✍✍ EXAMPLE ✍✍
During the 25th round of Serie A, among others, the following matches were played (with the results in parentheses):
- Napoli-Lazio (0-1)
- Atalanta-Udinese (0-0)
- Inter-Lecce (2-0)
The exact predictions for these three matches, which would score three points for each, would be:
- Lazio +1
- ND (no difference)
- Inter +2
If the prediction was wrong by only one goal, each match would score one point, as shown in the following example:
- Lazio +2 or ND
- Atalanta +1 or Udinese +1
- Inter +1 or Inter +3
Other predictions that are wrong by a difference of more than one goal would not score any points, as shown in the following example:
- Lazio +3, Lazio +4, Napoli +1, Napoli +2...
- Atalanta +2, Atalanta +3, Udinese +2, Udinese +3...
- ND, Inter +4, Lecce +1, Lecce +2...
Every week, the three users who achieve the highest scores will be set as beneficiaries of the post with the contest results, with the following percentages:
- 1st place - 40%
- 2nd place - 20%
- 3rd place - 10%
In case of two or more equal scores, the user who guessed the highest number of correct predictions will be awarded, followed by the one who entered their predictions first.
Speed becomes an important factor in the game, and therefore editing one's own comment will not be allowed, an event that could result in exclusion of the weekly prediction from the game or the loss of acquired temporal priority.

Alongside the weekly ranking, an overall ranking will be drawn up, with the sum of points of each participant. In case of a tie in points, the user who has won the most weekly episodes will be placed higher in the ranking, and, subordinately, the user who has participated in the most episodes of the competition or who joined the competition first.
To discover the rankings and events of the last week (individuals and by nations), read the second issue of the ITALYGAME CUP JOURNAL, official weekly digital magazine of the contest.
At the end of the Regular Season, the top eight users in the overall standings will qualify for the last three weeks of the game, the playoffs that will award the final prizes.
1st round of playoffs - Users ranked from third to eighth place in the overall standings at the end of the Regular Season will participate. The four users who achieve the highest scores will advance to the semifinal round, the last two are repechaged in the second round of the secondary trophy. The 1st and 2nd place in the overall standings at the end of the Regular Season will qualify directly for the semifinal round (they can still participate in the weekly game and try to win the respective prizes).
2nd round of playoffs (semifinals) - The four users who qualified from the first round of playoffs, plus the 1st and 2nd place in the overall standings at the end of the Regular Season will participate. The four users who achieve the highest scores will advance to the final round.
3rd round of playoffs (final) - The four users who qualified from the second round of playoffs will participate. The participants who achieve the highest scores will win the respective final prizes.
Please, note: In case of a tie in scores, the user who was better placed during the Regular Season will advance to the next round/win the prize. If the number of participants in the competition during the first seven weeks is less than ten, the playoffs will be canceled, and the tournament will continue in Regular Season mode until the tenth week.
To involve a greater number of users until the end of the competition, those ranked from ninth to sixteenth position will have the opportunity to compete for the secondary trophy, which will also award a consolation prize to the winner.
1st round of the secondary trophy - Participants are users ranked from eleventh to sixteenth position in the general standings at the end of the Regular Season. The four users who score the highest advance to the semifinal round. The 9th and 10th in the general standings at the end of the Regular Season qualify directly to the semifinal round (they can still participate in the weekly game and try to win the related prizes).
2nd round of the secondary trophy (semifinal) - Participants are the four users who qualified from the first round, plus the 9th and 10th ranked in the general standings at the end of the Regular Season and the two users eliminated from the 1st round of the main route play-offs. The four users who score the highest advance to the final round.
3rd round of the secondary trophy (final) - Participants are the four users who qualified from the second round. The participant who scores the highest wins the related final prize.
Please, note: In case of a tie in the score, the user with the higher ranking during the Regular Season will advance/win the prize. If the number of participants in the competition is less than sixteen, the secondary trophy will be restructured or canceled and the related final prize will be awarded to the fourth ranked in the playoffs.
The final prizes will be as follows:
- WINNER - 100 Steem
- Runner-up - 60 Steem
- Third place - 40 Steem
- Winner of the secondary tournament - 20 Steem

And now it's time to play! After the break for the national teams, the Serie A returns and our game focuses on the challenges, scheduled between Saturday and Sunday, of the 28th day. Here are the six matches of the week:

- 3 - Monza-Lazio
- 4 - Spezia-Salernitana
- 5 - Roma-Sampdoria
- 6 - Napoli-Milan
You can leave your predictions in the comments, according to this sample scheme:

- The game is open to all verified users, of any language or nationality.
- Upvote and resteem are not necessary to participate, but remain very welcome to support this and future initiatives, as well as tag some friends, to make them aware of the game (example: @chant, @opera.shoujo, @mamamasha, @pikkio82, @hardphotographer etc...)
- It is not possible to change your predictions. Edited comments may be excluded from the weekly game.
- During the Regular Season phase, it will be possible to participate in the weekly game and be included in the overall standings in any episode of the contest. During the last three weeks (playoffs and secondary trophy), for those who have not yet participated and for those excluded from the final phase, it will still be possible to join the contest to participate in the weekly game.
- In the event that a match is postponed, a final result of 0-0 will be considered. In the event that a match is suspended, the result at the time of the suspension will be considered valid.
