Social impact of science and technology

It is important that science and technology within the current social environment are seen as complementary elements of each other and not as if they were equivalent terms, the two elements are missing each other, it is impossible to develop technology without the scientific application, and it is impossible to do science without the technological contribution, but the two have completely different conceptual bases and whose features apart from differing only resemble each other as complementary elements.

The value of science in a social context of human development lies in being able to transmit the necessary knowledge in which there is an understanding of the phenomena of nature within an environment of sustainability, where everything spread in that order of scientific knowledge allows future generations to give continuity to such learning.

It is not a difficult goal to achieve for a society in need of scientific contributions that should be deepened in research on natural phenomena that scourge us as is the case of global warming and establish solutions to reduce such warming. It is important that in this context it is possible to give continuity to an expansion of scientific learning that transmits the knowledge of the theories that explain the natural phenomena to which solutions have been given, all with the intention that when similar situations arise we can have the bases of study that can solve this type of phenomena.

As that later element that benefits from science, technology is born, in whose evolution and current transformation, it has the existing need to be able to make use of current scientific innovations and use the knowledge derived for the improvement of the quality of life of the population.
