How is everyone doing? I am doing well, Alhamdulillah. In today's post, I will discuss another important topic related to Steemit, which is "witnesses." Let's delve into this topic in detail.

Why Are Witnesses Important?

Steemit is a blockchain-based social media platform. It doesn't have specific ownership, but it requires witnesses to operate correctly. Steemit processes from one block to another in approximately 3 seconds. To ensure the legitimacy of user actions on Steemit, witnesses play a crucial role.

Some Important Information About Witnesses:

A user can vote for a maximum of 30 witnesses. After voting for 30 witnesses, you cannot vote for any more.
If you want to be a witness on Steemit, you must receive votes from other users. If you receive votes from users with higher voting power, it benefits you.
On Steemit, rewards are paid out every 7 days, and 65% of those rewards go to curators who vote on your posts, and you receive a portion of this reward. You also get 10% as a witness.
The top 20 witnesses work on block production. If you're among the top 20 witnesses, you can participate in block production. Those outside the top 20 cannot engage in block production; they mainly focus on voting.

How to Vote for Witnesses:

By now, you understand the importance of witnesses. On Steemit, many users are working to take Steemit to the next level, making investments and contributing to its growth. Your duty is to vote for these witnesses, who are working to improve Steemit.

To vote for witnesses, follow these steps:

Use your active key to access your wallet.

On the right side, there's a menu with three dots; click on it.

Then, click on the "witness" option.

Here, you'll see a list of all the witness users. Vote for those witnesses whom you think deserve your support. Your work is done.
