Assalamu Alaikum

How is everyone? Alhamdulillah, I am doing well. Welcome to Part 4 of Learn Steemit. I hope you're enjoying the previous parts. Let's begin today's episode without further ado.

Today, we will discuss Steemit's voting system. Steemit is a substantial platform where you can earn income in various ways from now on. Among them, the most significant opportunity is to earn through upvotes. Just like we use Facebook or YouTube, we like posts there. On Steemit, when users find a post interesting, they upvote it, and this upvote contributes to the author's income. It's essential to note that everyone can contribute to your income by upvoting your posts.

You should not upvote your posts, as this does not generate any income. Similarly, if someone with a minimal Steem Power of only 100 SP upvotes your post, you won't earn much from it. The primary rule on Steemit is that you can't earn income just by giving votes. If you want to earn more, you need to receive votes from others.

Now, let's discuss the concept of curation. Every community supports its users by upvoting their posts. Some portion of this upvote goes to you, while some goes to the curator. In this way, both parties earn income. This is Steemit's beautiful system: when you give votes, both the giver and receiver can earn.

Now, let's talk about where Steem Power comes from. We've learned about Bitcoin mining, and if you're unfamiliar with it, you can refer to my previous post. Steemit's voting system is essentially a form of mining. With every vote, new Steem tokens are created, which is primarily how we earn on Steemit.

Now, let's delve into downvotes. Plagiarism is a severe offense on Steemit. Copying someone else's content is a dishonest practice, and Steemit does not support it. To succeed on Steemit, you must share your original content. If you copy and paste, you will receive downvotes, which can negatively impact your Steem career. Your reputation will also suffer.

In conclusion, today's post covered various aspects of Steemit's voting system and how it affects your earnings. It's essential to understand the significance of upvotes, curation, and the importance of creating original content. Plagiarism is strongly discouraged on Steemit, and you should always focus on sharing your unique work. Thank you all for reading today's post. Below are the links to the previous parts.
