Tron FAQ :: How Does It Consume Bandwidth And Energy?steemCreated with Sketch.

TRON networks follow their own rules for evaluating consumption and reorder points. First, it checks if the bandwidth balance in the referral account from the TRX distribution is sufficient to cover the commission.

Tron FAQ :: How Does It Consume Bandwidth And Energy?

If it is sufficient, the bandwidth received from the referral is consumed. If not, it checks if the initiator's free daily bandwidth points are enough, and if so, they are consumed.

Another option is to consume TRX to pay for transaction bandwidth based on a unit price of 0.001 TRX per bandwidth.

When it comes to energy consumption, the points gained by evaporating TRX are consumed first.

If this energy is not enough, TRX is debited from the sender's account to pay for the resources needed to complete the transaction. The TRX spent is calculated as 0.00028 TRX per unit of energy.

The maximum energy cost for a transaction can be limited by setting the fee_limit parameter.

TRX rate for acquiring resources

The only way to acquire resources on TRON is to stake (or freeze) TRX for bandwidth or energy. Users can stake on TRX and win bandwidth and energy by sending a FreezeBalanceContract type of transaction.

It is important that the receiving address is active. This means that the address has or previously had a TRX balance; as a general rule of TRON, you must ensure that the address is deemed appropriate to receive the resource.

An account can be activated by sending any amount of TRX or TRC-10 tokens from an existing account to a new one. ### Freeze TRX for Energy and Bandwidth with Cryptographic APIs

Two endpoints have been created for TRON to make it easier to get resources on the network.

Freeze TRON for Energy or Bandwidth.

With this endpoint, clients can freeze balance a certain TRX address to get bandwidth or energy.

When executing a request, the required parameter is "fromAddress", if "toAddress" is not specified, then the address on which the stacking operation was performed is the destination of this request.

An account receiving bandwidth or energy must have or had a TRX balance in the past to be eligible to receive the resource. The minimum amount of a stacking operation is 1 TRX.

Tron FAQ :: How Does It Consume Bandwidth And Energy?

The default summation period is three days from the freeze date and cannot exceed or fall below this period. The time limit will be reset if the same address is moved.

TRON Energy or Bandwidth Unfreeze.

This endpoint allows clients to unfreeze TRX supplied for resources. Freezing bandwidth or energy releases the entire amount of this resource to the specified address 'toAddress'.

The quantity to be frozen cannot be specified, a TRX defrost request can be made three days after freezing.
