The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder of Rumble Kong League is Marcus Bläsche.Prior to his role at Rumble League Studios, Bläsche was involved with Blizzard Entertainment, game studio Wargaming, and The Sandbox.
The company sold 10,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in August 2021, each representing a unique cartoon gorilla with randomly generated stats. These avatars were intended to be playable characters in a web-based game.The project raised $4.5 million in growth capital to launch its play-to-earn 3 vs. 3 basketball experience and to continue building the metaverse sports league. The game was set to be released in 2022, with a beta version currently live. As of September 27, 2023, the collection has generated over 19K ETH in secondary sales volume on OpenSea after its initial drop.
