Akutars NFT Collection : The Akutars NFT collection, initiated by artist Micah Johnson, features 15,000 unique, 3D avatars launched on the Ethereum blockchain. Launched on April 22, 2022, on aku.world, each Akutar is handcrafted and includes designs from various collaborators, including luxury fashion, sports, and streetwear brands such as Billionaire Boys Club, ICECREAM, Paper Planes, PUMA, Upscale Vandal, and WHO DECIDES WAR. The collection aims to appeal to a broad audience across multiple generations, particularly those interested in luxury fashion, streetwear culture, and the work of emerging creators.

Now I will try to tell some history of Akutars NFT collection: Micah Johnson, a former Major League Baseball player who transitioned to digital art after his retirement in 2018, created the Akutars NFT project. Johnson's work focuses on representation and diversity, and he created the main character of the project, Aku, in February 2021. Johnson worked closely with Aku advisors and founding creative council members Pusha-T and Upscale Vandal to curate the first Akutar collection.

Prior to the public launch, early access was provided to Aku chapter holders and select non-chapter NFT holders via a free airdrop. The snapshot to determine eligibility for the free airdrop occurred on April 7, 2022, at 10am
