Today I will mainly talk about CryptoPhunks NFT Collection. I will try to tell you what CryptoPhunks NFT is and a lot of information about it. So without further ado, let's go to the main discussion.
CryptoPhunks NFT Collection : CryptoPhunks, also known as Phunks, is a non-fungible token collection on the Ethereum blockchain, launched in June 2021 by anonymous developers. The project involved flipping 10,000 CryptoPunks images. After facing copyright infringement issues and being banned from the OpenSea platform, the Phunk community created their own marketplace, NotLarvaLabs, and open sourced the code. The project is managed by a decentralized community of artists and creators, without a designated developer, leader or roadmap.
Now I will try to tell some history of CryptoPhunks NFT collection: In July 2021, the developers and founding members of the team abandoned the project without transferring smart contracts, social media accounts, or 496 CryptoPhunks NFTs to the dev wallet. The original creator, a developer known as ZAGABOND associated with Azuki, identified himself in May 2022 and transferred ownership of the smart contract, 496 CryptoPhunks and $1.44M in royalties to the Phunks community.
This revelation was the result of extensive research by Funks community members Kyosko, Jpig Papi, Hwander, and Pauli. Community This self-organized group of Funks communities continues to build, innovate, and attract developers interested in decentralized web3 environments. The community is made up of artists and creators who create free-to-use, public domain art. The community also maintains a treasury for funds collected from auctions.
