"Recipe of the Day, Week No. 17: (Lotus Roots chips)"

Hello friends...


First of all, I would like to thank @steemit-ironchef for organizing this interesting contest. Thank you and I invite @sduttaskitchen, @shiftitamanna and @suboohi to participate in this Wonderful contest..

So last week I presented how to cook lotus roots curry. So I thought to share with you about a snack that we can easily prepare from lotus roots.

As the name implies, the lotus root is the main ingredient in this recipe. It is an aquatic plant with pink or white flowers and the texture of the root is very similar to potatoes.

But the most distinctive feature of lotus roots over other roots is probably the central hole pattern. No matter how you cook it, it will look cool!

So today I am going to make lotus roots chips.

Actually, these are as tasty as potato chips. Ok, so let's see how they differ between lotus root chips and potato chips if they taste like potato chips.

Well.. did you know that lotus root is healthier than potato? In fact, if your body controls carbohydrates, if they don't agree with your blood sugar, potato chips are not healthy. But believe me, lotus root has less starch than potato and they have fiber like potato.

These chips are made in different ways in different countries and now let's see how I make this delicious snack.

INGREDIENTS


  • Lotus Roots. 200 g
  • Wheat flour 100 g
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coconut Oil 200ml

Step 01

First remove the lotus root peels. Then wash it well. Then cut it crosswise into thin slices.

Step 02

Then add salt and turmeric powder to the wheat flour and make it into a thick liquid. Then with the lotus roots slice of the paste Put it in. Take it.

Step 03

Then put coconut oil in the pan and heat it well. Put the slice in it and deep fry until golden on both side.

Then taste the crunchy and delicious lotus roots chip with your favorite ketchup. I am sure you will love it..

Yes, the reason why I tried to make lotus root like this was because of the kids. They liked to fry it more than to eat it as a curry. Try it too.😊
