S16-W1 “Our Friend The Egg: Super Food To Boost Health
Hello Wonderful Chefs! It's my delight to be here and today I will talk about Eggs. Eggs are super food they are good sources of vitamins and protein and they can be used in different ways and purposes. People of all ages have been eating eggs for thousands of years now but the most common choice of eggs is that of the chicken. Eggs contain protein, vitamins and minerals which are essential parts of a healthy diet, eggs used to be one of the inexpensive foods in Nigeria until recently, when poor men could not afford it.
I always tried to incorporate more eggs into my diet because they are healthful and a good source of protein and other important nutrients. Eggs are good for the brain, and muscles the protein in them helps to repair body tissues and maintain muscle, also the Vitamins and minerals contained in them are necessary for our nervous system and brain, and they help them to function properly and effectively. This is one of the reasons I give my kids eggs at least 4 times a week.
Eggs help our bodies to produce energy because they contain all the nutrients our bodies will need for this, they promote a healthy immune system because of the vitamins A, B12 and Selenium in them. Eggs lower the risk of any heart disease because of the choline contained in them.
Eggs are good for pregnant women because they contain folic acid and as such could prevent congenital disabilities. It's good for our eyes, for weight loss and maintenance because it makes one feel fuller for a longer time thus helping a person to reduce calorie intake. The minerals are good for healthy skin and fuller and longer hair.
Preparation Steps:
It's always good to prepare and cook eggs well. Below are the ingredients I used to prepare my delicious egg sauce:
Fresh tomatoes and pepper 🌶️, Eggs, vegetable oil, salt, Onions and spices.
Preparation:
- I wash the ingredients and the eggs, slice the tomatoes, onions and pepper, then scramble the eggs, add salt, sliced onions and pepper and Maggi cubes.
- Put your frying pan on fire, add some vegetable oil and allow it to be hot, add a grain of salt, and onions to the oil. Add your sliced tomatoes and spices and allow it for some time.
- Next pour in the eggs and lower the heat, don't put a spoon until it pops up, you then turn the eggs to the other side and let it cook well.
After cooking for some time Boom boom my egg sauce was ready! And I eat it with boiled plantain!
I like taking this food for breakfast or dinner, it was indeed a super delicious meal! My kids love it, I added it for lunch to them and they finished everything.

Eggs are essential for many dishes and what amazes me about this ingredient is how versatile it is all round.
