Baitul Muttaqin Mosque

Hello, friends, how are you? I hope you are all doing well. On this occasion, I would like to show you one of the beautiful mosques in East Aceh. This mosque has been standing for a long time, and at the entrance, it is written that the mosque was built in 1980 AD. The name of this mosque is Baitul Muttaqin Mosque.

The mosque is located on the side of the Medan-Banda Aceh road, specifically in the village of Keude, Darul
Aman District, East Aceh Regency. The entire courtyard and mosque building are surrounded by a fence.

In front of the mosque is a gate leading to the mosque courtyard. The gate stands majestically and has a dome similar to that of the mosque, which is a characteristic feature of mosque gates in Aceh. Above the gate are three green domes.

In front of this mosque, we can see two towering minarets. In terms of width, this mosque is relatively small, but in terms of length, it is quite long. The base color of the mosque is yellow, and the front terrace has a fairly large canopy.

Upon entering the mosque, there is a glass door that can be opened by pushing and pulling. Above the entrance is written the year the mosque was established, which is 1980 AD. In addition to the year of establishment, the Basmalah and the name of the mosque are also written in Arabic.

When we enter the mosque, we can see that it is small but long. It looks like a small but elongated room, so it can accommodate many rows for worship.

At the western end of the room is the Mihrab room, which contains a pulpit carved from wood. The Mihrab room is small, so there is no space for the Imam to stand next to the pulpit. Therefore, the Imam stands next to the Mihrab room, where there is also an analog clock carved from wood.

Ceiling of the mosque

The ceiling of the mosque looks plain, with only lights and a few fans near the walls. The ceiling is plain, but there are calligraphy paintings on the edges.

The walls of the mosque feature windows, calligraphy paintings, and Islamic motifs that adorn the room. In addition, there are several shelves along the walls containing copies of the Quran.

Wudu area and toilet for women

On the east side, there is a place for women to perform wudu, and there is also a toilet in the building.

Place for ablution and toilet for men

Meanwhile, the area to the northeast is reserved for men, where there are also toilets for men. There are two types of facilities for men: bathtubs and faucets.

On the mosque grounds, there is also a hut that can be used as a place to rest. In addition, there are graves to the west of the mosque building and to the south and north.
