Today when Shakeel found a picture of his college friends studying in a group in his office drawer. Seeing the face of one of these beautiful girls Haniya and remembering her, Shakeel's eyes filled with tears and he reached his past.
Shakeel met Haniya in his first year at Aga Khan University. Over time, they grew very close to each other.

At that time, Shakeel did not know that she would become his life support in the worst phase of his life. Haniya's family was old-fashioned and they not allowed premarital relationships.

Life throws up unexpected surprises when we least expect it. Shakeel was brought to the hospital after a very serious car accident. He had to stay in the hospital for months.

It was a very scary and confusing time, full of pain, uncertainty and fear. But through it all, his best friend, Haniya, stood by him.

At the hospital, the doctors told to the parents of shakeel that he had multiple fractures and would need multiple operations, and his chances of recovery seemed very low.

As soon as Haniya heard about Shakeel, she was there from day one.

When Shakeel regained consciousness, he requested to her, "I am fine now, your family will get angry if they come to know about you coming here."

"I am here," she said, "and I am not going anywhere. I will tell them, you are my friend."

Haniya visited him daily and continued her studies, bringing him books to read and sharing college gossip and some jokes to keep him mentally healthy.

One day, the pain was unbearable and Shakeel gave up and started crying in frustration. Haniya sat with him, her own eyes brimming with tears, but her voice was composed.

"I know you're a strong person," she told Shakeel. " we will fight together through this."

As weeks turned into months, Haniya's care never wavered. She kept coming to daily Hospital and helped Shakeel catch up on missed lectures, brought him notes.

And when he finally returned to college, she was there to help him walk down the hall with his crutches.

Shakeel's recovery was a long and challenging journey, with many setbacks and major problems .

There were times when Shakeel felt like he was taking one step forward and two steps back. But Haniya was there with him, cheering him on.

Haniya's parents got her married to her with their friend's son , who was an engineer in Dubai, after she completed her studies.

On hearing the news of Haniya's marriage, Shakeel had only said "May Allah keep her happy and safe always"

It's been a long time since then, but when Shakeel remembers those difficult times, he is overwhelmed with gratitude for Haniya's unwavering friendship. She stood by him at his worst when he was physically weak, emotionally exhausted.

His friends and relatives stopped visiting him after a few days in the hospital.

Haniya taught Shakeel the true meaning of support through thick and thin. She told him that friendship is not just about being there in the good times, but about standing strong in the face of bad times and circumstances.

It's about moving forward day by day, even when things are tough. It's about seeing the best in someone, even when they can't see it in themselves.
