Ali was a very good artist such that he can draw and carve on anything he lays his hands. The people in the village where he lives respects him for that. One day he decided to make a carve of himself on a tree which is centred at the market Square of their village so that anyone who comes to the market Square will see it.

It came to his mind that if he makes just a normal carving of himself, people won't take much interest to look at it since they already knew him and they know he is good at the work so he decided to do something different and unique.

He carved himself in a very funny way so that anyone who comes around will take a little time to look at the work he has done. They also take time to know who's face he has carved on a tree because you hardly recognise it by just looking at it. You must put more attention on it to know exactly who is carved on the tree.

He carved himself bringing out his tongue and his eyes wide open. Also he made it look like an ancient artwork but his reason is that he needed his carving to be different and also to attract more attention. Since he do other peoples carving very well and by just mere looking at it you can deduce they person he felt that his case shouldn't be same as he want people to spend more time on the art work.

This made a lot of people to always stand in the place where this work of art was done wondering almost every other day. When he was interviewed on why he made his own portrait this way and completely different from what he use to do for others he said because he wants more attention on his work of art.

Indeed he got all the attention needed because all those who come to the market Square will always spend sometime looking at it. It also brought in the media to interview him on why he made his own portrait that way.

So this is the story of Ali, the young man who is a good artist but needed more popularity on his work. Based on the art work he did for himself, people began to know him even better and the media also helped to advertise him to the outside world through their interview because they made a video clip and shared it whichade the youngqn to have more customers within and outside his village.
