What do you know about Domestic Violence? Explain in 2 paragraphs.
Domestic violence as the name implies domestic, is a type of violence that takes place at home between people who have intimacy. This means that when a man or a woman who is in a relationship with their partner begins to exercise some rights over them by not allowing them to have a saying in the relationship we call it domestic violence.
Domestic violence means a man or a woman taking absolute control and subjecting the other party to their will. When you force your partner to do everything you want through any means possible, it means you are carrying out domestic violence on that person.
Briefly Explain at least three main types of domestic violence.
There are many types or forms of domestic violence but in this case today I will discuss only three types of violence.
Physical domestic violence is a type of domestic violence where the man or the woman abuses his or her partner physically by beating and injuring the person at all times.
Sexual domestic violence is another type of domestic violence where the man or woman forcefully makes love to his wife or her husband without both parties agreeing to the act.
Emotional domestic violence has to do with insulting and not regarding your partner. When you don't consider your partner as anything then you have carried out emotional domestic violence on the person.
Why is it important to raise awareness about domestic violence in society?
It is important to raise awareness about domestic violence in society because with the rise of awareness people who suffer this domestic violence will receive relief from those who inflict this pains on them. The government may decided to give out a law which will help to checkmate all the essences associated with this issues.
So if you have such in your area, don't keep quiet always speak out because that is the only way you can save yourself and others around you. So do not keep quiet for any reason, always tell those around and everyone about the issues you are facing at home.
Have you ever seen a real case of domestic Violence in your life? Tell us about it.
Yes, I have seen a case of domestic violence and I have also read about a lot of them. A case of a popular Nigerian singer who was brutally killed by her own husband using physical domestic violence.
When this was happening she kept quiet and no one knows about the abuse she was facing at home because anytime she comes out, she will always wear a smile on her face but deep down she was dieing due to the abuse.
It got to a time where it became too much and she was rushed to the hospital but before the doctors could do anything she died. Indeed it was a painful experience.

It hurts to see or hear about cases of domestic violence in our society.

It is always good to speak up in the face of violence because it will bring relief to the victim and will also make the culprit to stop such act.
It is disheartening to read about or witnessed the case of domestic violence especially the one that leads to death, it is not a good thing.
