Each one of us has a dream destination to visit in life. In this list, Kashmir is one of my favourite places. Still, I enjoy its beauty through online videos and have not had the chance to visit. If I get a chance, I don't miss it.

Kashmir is my favourite place to visit. It is situated in the Himalayan mountain range, and it is the northernmost part of India. It is known as Paradise on Earth and is a popular tourist destination. The stunning mountains, lush green valleys, crystal-clear rivers, and lush meadows make Kashmir a breathtaking spectacle.

Kashmir has something to offer for everyone, from peaceful getaways to thrilling adventures. It is packed with breathtaking sights such as the majestic Dal Lake, the rugged Pir Panjal mountain range, and the ethereal Sonmarg Valley. From trekking and camping in the mountains to horse riding and fishing in the rivers, there is an endless array of activities to enjoy in Kashmir.

Kashmir is also renowned for its delicious cuisine. Its traditional dishes, such as the Kashmiri Rogan Josh, the Gushtaba, and the Yakhni Pulao, are some of the most popular dishes in the world. The variety of spices used to make these dishes gives them a unique flavour that will leave you wanting more. The people of Kashmir are also incredibly hospitable and welcoming. With a rich cultural history, they are some of the most hospitable and friendly people in the world.

You can find some of the most beautiful and intricately handcrafted items in Kashmir, from carpets to woollen shawls to jewelry. Kashmir is a place of beauty and serenity, and it is no wonder that it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. That's why it has become my dream to visit Kashmir at least once during my journey.

The region has a rich history and is known for its colourful festivals and fairs. The locals are known for their hospitality and warm welcome, which make tourists feel at home instantly.

The region has its own unique dishes, which are a combination of ingredients and spices from different parts of India, as well as influences from Central Asia. From the traditional Kashmiri wazwan to the delicious shawarma, there is something for everyone. The people of Kashmir are also very passionate about their art and culture. From traditional folk music to colourful artwork, there is plenty to explore in this region. The local craftsmen are known for their skills in carving, weaving, and jewelry-making, and their products are some of the most sought-after souvenirs in the region.

Kashmir is an ideal destination for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. From tranquil surroundings to delicious local dishes, and from colourful festivals to stunning landscapes, Kashmir offers something for everyone.That's why it's my dream place to visit at least once in my life and explore the beauty of Kashmir and make memories that will last my lifetime!

Visiting Kashmir has been a dream of mine for a long time. This beautiful region of India is renowned for its stunning landscape, unique culture, and renowned hospitality. I have yet to visit Kashmir, but I have heard so many amazing stories from people who have made the journey. I am eager to experience the beauty and culture of Kashmir for myself. I hope to one day visit this magical place and explore its many wonders. I look forward to the adventure that awaits me in Kashmir and can't wait to explore the landscape and immerse myself in the local culture. Kashmir remains, for me, an untouched paradise waiting to be explored.

Those are the main attractions we may experience when we visit Kashmir.

I don't have any personal experience, but some of my family members have, and I gather this information from them.

• Dum Aloo: A dish made from baby potatoes cooked in a spicy tomato-based gravy.

• Tabak Maaz: Fried ribs of lamb that are tender and flavorful.

• Modur pulao: A sweet and fragrant rice pudding made with milk, sugar, saffron, and cardamom.

These are just a few examples of the rich and flavorful cuisine that you can enjoy while visiting Kashmir.

I don't have any personal experience because I still don't visit Kashmir. But I may give a rough budget, which I collect from my family members who have already visited this place.

Presently, I live in Chennai, India. So travel also starts from this location to destination , which is Kashmir. So I make available all routes with a rough amount for total travel needs.

The cost of a trip to Kashmir from Chennai can vary widely depending on your travel style, the time of year you visit, and other factors. However, a rough estimate for a budget trip for one person would be around Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 for travel, accommodation, food, and entertainment.

There are several ways to travel from Chennai to Kashmir:

• By Air: The quickest and most convenient way to reach Kashmir from Chennai is by air. Direct flights are available from Chennai to Srinagar, which is the nearest airport to Kashmir. From Srinagar, you can take a taxi or public transportation to your final destination.

• By Train: Another option to reach Kashmir from Chennai is by train. You can take a train to Jammu Tawi, which is the nearest major railway station to Kashmir. From there, you can take a taxi or public transportation to your final destination.

• By Road: If you are looking for a scenic road trip, you can also drive from Chennai to Kashmir. The total distance between the two cities is approximately 2,300 km and can take around 2 days to cover by road.

It is important to note that the road route to Kashmir passes through several hilly and mountainous areas and can be quite challenging in some parts. Therefore, it is advisable to plan your road trip well in advance and to ensure that you have a reliable vehicle with good road clearance.

A rough budget for travelling from Chennai, India, to Kashmir

The cost of travelling from Chennai to Kashmir can vary widely depending on several factors, such as the mode of transportation, the time you travel, your accommodation options, and your travel style. However, here is a rough estimate to give you an idea:

There are also many places of worship, such as the Hazratbal Shrine, the Jamia Masjid, and the Shankaracharya Temple.
