"Why is gender equality necessary?"

It was not long ago when there was a difference in a role of women and men. It was considered that women should stay at home and look after children, cook, do washings and be a housewife.

Men was considered to be an earner, so his responsibility was to go to work, make sure that he has enough money for his family to exist. That was going on for a long time.

Slowly time was changing and women wanted to do something else and not only to be a housewife. It was the time when there was a school for girls still it was separate from boys but it was already good start and that only meant that boy boys and girls will receive the same knowledge.

It is important to give both sides similar changes and they have to decide what they want to make from them.

"Is gender equality crucial for all people, not just women?"

Gender equality is not only important for women, we hear time to time that there are situation when women behave aggressive against their male partners and being abused but because they are men they feel ashamed to tell aloud what happened to them.

There are some shelter houses for women but you barely hear about the shelter for men who were abused by their wives.

The other thing is that there could be situation when father is at home with children, bringing to nursery, school or cooking which is nowadays normal too although not common and wife is working.

What are your thoughts on gender equality, specifically concerning the circumstances in your country?

In Scotland it is well regulated, there is equal chances for both men and women. School and Universities are also open for such situation, as well as in many profession where for example normal to see men nowadays working women and also being paid equal as a male employee.

How to educate our children to understand this issue?

I think it is a certain time for discussing the issues regarding the gender. In my opinion it should be done in family first and also when children maybe 14-15 y.o. It needs to be free atmosphere and normal chat when both sides parents and children can ask and share their opinion.

It is not always straight forward and often will be areas where both side might not agree with certain things, it requires a lot of time and patience to make sure that everything is clear and children will not have problems to ask if they did not understand anything. But again in every single case it is different.

I would like to invite following users @ibda, @adylinah, @shehnaaz for the challenge
