I wish all of you are having best time with your loved ones. I am also enjoying my day's. We all eat food to survive. But among those foods ,there are such types of food which Mere recitation of that brings water to our mouth. So as the contest demands i am going to share one of my favourite food. And i want to thank you @shravana to pick such a wonderful theme for the contest.

Eaten by itself, an idli tastes dull. But served with a sambar and a green coconut chutney, it gets to be one of the foremost delightful nourishments you may ever eat. This can be too nourishment for everyone--and anytime.

Is my favourite food can be easily prepared in home or difficult to prepare

Yes, idli sambar is a simple dish to make at home.
Yes, idli sambar is often thought to be simple to make at home. However, based on the recipe and products used, the preparation time may vary.

Here's a basic idli sambar recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup split pigeon peas (toor dal)
  • 2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • a half teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon fenugreek seeds
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 2 slit green chilies
  • a quarter teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp. sambar powder
  • Season with salt to taste
  • tamarind extract (1/2 cup)
  • garnished with coriander leaves

Instructions:

Rinse the toor dal in water and pressure cook it for 5-6 whistles, or until soft and mushy, with 2 cups of water. Then Place the pan in the cooktop and add some oil and let it to heat and put the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and fenugreek seeds on the kadai. Allow them to sputter.
Sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.and add tomatoes .Cook these ingredients until the tomatoes become soft then add green chilies.Then add sumbhar masala,turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt according to taste. Combine thoroughly.Pour in 2 cups of water and the tamarind extract. Allow to boil for 5-7 minutes after well mixing.
Cook for 5-7 minutes after adding the cooked toor dal to the sambar.Serve hot with idli and garnished with coriander leaves.

Do i like it while eating it for first time?

Yes, i like it i think i tried it in a restaurant. I have never eat it before. My friend insisted me to take a bite from her plate . It was awesome since then i really loved it taste. I often made it on every one in my family love it.

How much the idli Sambhar cost while buying outside? (share the equivalent steem price also)

It cost nothing much. But yes there are variety of idli available like masala idli, rava idli ,sooji idli. Every one has different price. I generally prefer rice idli.

It cost 160 INR = 8.58 steem

Intresting thing about idli Sambhar

The delicate and fluffy south Indian breakfast dish is one of my favourites. My favourite South Indian meals are idli and dosa. I know, I'm a typical north Indian!
This healthy breakfast alternative has several health benefits, is simple to prepare, digest, lose weight, is easy to calculate calories, is high in iron, and contains a fair quantity of fibre. It is oil-free and steamed in such a proportion that it will provide you a tasty dinner while keeping your stomach full for a longer period of time.

Idli shambar is a delicious food as a breakfast and also as dinner. I like to eat it as breakfast because it gives more energy to do work and also we can eat it quickly in shambar but it takes time while eating idli with chutney. A great entry from your side keep rocking
