Hello guys,
It's a pleasure on my path to share with you all my entries in this week's contest which is titled "HWC Contest #37|| POWERUP & WIN WEEK 28" which is organized by @jyoti-thelight. It is an interesting contest and I would love to drop my entry ASAP.

Before we go ahead I would like to invite @sahmie, @josepha, and @ruthjoe to join this contest in this community today and share their participation as well, I do hope to see and read your entries as well.

In this contest today we are looking to power up the Steem in our wallet and I'm gladly going to share with you a complete screenshot of how I was able to perform this in my account and how that has helped me to have an increased SP.

In this contest, I powered up 34.955 Steem which helped to increase my SP to 423.242 let's see the procedure that led to that so that those who don't have an idea about it could also learn how to do it.

Step 1: Log in to your wallet and be sure that it is in the format of the screenshot below.

Step 2: Click on the drop-down bar close to the Steem token as seen in the screenshot below and select the power-up option as seen below.

Step 3: Enter the amount of Steem you wish to convert to Steem power and then click on the power-up option as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 4: Confirm your transfer to vesting and then click on the 🆗 button if all that you want is in place as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 5: Check back at your wallet and be sure that the amount you have powered up has been added as seen in the screenshot below.

Write the importance of performing powerup.

The importance of powering up Steem can never be emphasised. As a Steemian, we know that the more SP you have the more the curation reward you earn. Also the more you will be able to perform more functions on the platform.

A good example is being a curator or a moderator in any community. You must have a certain amount of SP before you can be considered to work as either a moderator or a curator. So that is one of the main importance of performing power up.

Regular power helps you to have a good amount of SP and this SP helps you to support other Steemian and also earn good rewards from the support you are giving out. So to me, that is my reason for powering up my Steem.

From this contest, we are also told that participants who meet the requirements will also be given support for powering up their Steem which is a good one too. So in all the reason for powering up is to increase our growth in the platform.
