What is more important for children in their childhood, playing or studying?

For me, I consider the famous saying about the Messenger, God bless him and grant him peace, “Teach your children while they play” perfectly encapsulates the essence of raising children. As a parent, I firmly believe that playtime is an invaluable learning opportunity. I constantly strive to put this idea into practice in the education of my own children.

When they play, I see an opportunity to encourage their natural curiosity and foster their intellectual development. I am committed to choosing games that stimulate their creativity, problem solving and critical thinking. Through fun activities, I seek to teach essential concepts in a subtle way, integrating learning into pleasant and entertaining situations.

Furthermore, I believe that education is not limited to school. As a parent, I believe the role I play at home is just as crucial. I strive to create an environment conducive to learning, where my children feel encouraged to ask questions, explore and discover the world around them. By using educational resources adapted to their age, I seek to feed their thirst for knowledge while promoting a fun approach to learning.

Of course, balance is essential. I make sure my children have plenty of time for free play, because it is in these moments that they develop crucial social, emotional and physical skills. I am convinced that education should not be rigidly imposed, but rather integrated organically into their daily lives.

In summary, as a parent, I consider that the most important thing for my children in their childhood, whether playing or studying, is to create a harmonious balance between formal and informal learning. I strive to instill a taste for discovery and learning while preserving the joy and spontaneity that accompany play.

Are today's children lagging behind in studies and sports? If yes, explain the reason.

As an educator in Tunisia, I see that today's children do indeed seem to be falling behind in studies and sport, and from my point of view, the existing education system is largely responsible for this situation.

Regarding studies, I notice that the education system in Tunisia is struggling to adapt to rapid changes in society and the economy. Traditional teaching methods and program content sometimes seem disconnected from the real needs of the labor market. To this end, I strive to raise awareness of the gaps in the system by highlighting the need to introduce more innovative teaching approaches, focused on the development of practical skills and critical thinking.

Additionally, limited financial resources make the situation worse. Lack of investment in education results in inadequate infrastructure, overcrowded classes and limited access to educational technologies. As an educator, I face these realities every day, and I fight to raise awareness of the urgent needs for structural and financial reforms in the education system.

When it comes to sports, I find that opportunities for children to engage in sports are often limited due to a lack of adequate infrastructure and accessible sports programs. For me, I strive to promote the importance of sport in the overall development of children and to encourage the establishment of sports initiatives at school. However, logistical and financial barriers persist, hindering children's participation in regular physical activities.

Is online education useful to your children?

I find that online education has significant benefits, but its usefulness depends heavily on each child's personality traits and specific needs. When it comes to my own children, I find that online education can be extremely helpful, but it depends on their ability to motivate themselves and avoid procrastination.

As a parent, I notice that my children have a strong capacity for self-discipline and who are able to manage their time independently benefit greatly from online education. Working at their own pace provides valuable flexibility, allowing them to dive deeper into the topics they're passionate about while respecting their need for autonomy.

However, I also recognize that online education may not be suitable for all children. Some need the discipline and structure provided by a traditional classroom environment, where they are monitored and guided by teachers. These children may disperse more easily in the absence of direct supervision, which may affect their academic performance.

Reflecting on my own experience as a parent, I think online education can be more demanding on children in terms of responsibility and time management. However, I strongly believe that this increased difficulty can also lead to higher educational effectiveness because it encourages the development of self-organization and self-discipline skills, skills that are crucial for success in an increasingly focussed world. technology.

How does online education effect your children's mental and physical health ?

In my experience and as I mentioned previously, I see that online education can have significant impacts on the mental and physical health of children especially when they lack discipline.

From a mental health perspective, online education can sometimes create an environment conducive to isolation. Without regular physical interactions with teachers and classmates, children may feel a lack of emotional support and social connection. This can potentially contribute to problems such as anxiety and depression, particularly if appropriate steps are not taken to maintain emotional balance.

On a physical health level, I notice that online learning can encourage a sedentary lifestyle. Students are often spending more time in front of screens, which can lead to problems like eye strain, headaches, and even a decrease in physical activity. To achieve this, I strive to counterbalance this by encouraging regular breaks, physical activities and promoting healthy lifestyle habits.

However, I recognize that every child is unique, and the impact of online education may vary depending on their personality and specific needs. My role as a parent is to adapt my approach based on signs of distress or particular challenges my children may be experiencing, and to work collaboratively with them to find solutions that promote their overall well-being.

Excellent friend, nothing like looking for games where they awaken the child's creativity and obtain significant learning, that is, without leaving aside the fun so that they do not feel that it is only to obtain studies while they play, I, just as I think that way, education does not It is only at school since children want to know something to see and more at home it is there when we as parents implement teaching methods for their questions and doubts.

I think this is happening in many parts of the country, friend, where the educational system has changed so much that it affects the studies and sports of today's children. Online studies have benefits but also disadvantages, friend, and it is necessary to keep our children in a constant supervision so that online studies are used appropriately.

Your quality posts are enlightening as usual . Here is my reflection on few catchy statements from your write up;

Teach your children while they play" perfectly encapsulates the essence of raising children. As a parent, I firmly believe that playtime is an invaluable learning opportunity.

In my experience, this perspective resonates with my belief as a parent too. Integrating education with play allows for a holistic approach, fostering not just academic skills but also social and emotional development. I think it creates a positive environment where learning becomes a joyful and natural part of a child's daily life.

Regarding studies, I notice that the education system in Tunisia is struggling to adapt to rapid changes in society and the economy.

As an educator, my observation aligns with the challenges mentioned. Adapting to the evolving needs of society is crucial, and in my opinion, it calls for a reevaluation of educational methods to ensure they equip children with practical skills and critical thinking abilities relevant to the contemporary world.

As a parent, I notice that my children have a strong capacity for self-discipline and who are able to manage their time independently benefit greatly from online education.

It is pleasing to hear that you are satisfied with your kids behaviour. The effectiveness of online education seems linked to a child's ability for self-discipline. I think it provides a valuable alternative for children who thrive in a more independent learning environment.

Good luck sir.

Playing and learning are very important for children's growth and development, but it cannot be denied that currently children prefer to spend their time playing rather than studying.

So we as parents have to be really good at managing time so that our children can play and learn, for example during the day we have time to play and study at night.

Because if we force them to study it is not good, they will not study seriously, by letting them play the children will also feel very happy, when they are happy without us telling them they will definitely remember to study to please us as people parents because it has given them the freedom to play and learn.

Absolutely, balancing play and learning is crucial for children's holistic development. It's important to acknowledge their preference for play and find a harmonious schedule that allows both activities. Creating a structured yet flexible routine, like dedicating time for play during the day and study at night, is a thoughtful approach. It's a delicate balance that, when achieved, can foster a healthy attitude towards both play and education. Well done on recognizing the importance of managing time wisely for your children's benefit!

Hii sir teaching children while their play time is a method to ease their studies. I totally agree with you that every child is unique and has different style of learning. Some are book warms while others are not the most important thing is looking after the child's health and peace. If a child is physically and mentally fit he or she can cope up well with the studies.

God bless you sir !
