THE DIARY GAME - My trip to Tirupati |
---|
Last week we went to Location Tirupati temple with family and the trip was very sweet and happy. This temple is very crowded due to the large number of people visiting it and the temple management only allows those who have booked tickets online so we are forced to book online a month or two in advance and go there. So we booked tickets two months in advance at 300 rupees per person and waited and there are also rooms available through the management, we booked two rooms with AC for around 700 rupees. It is much cheaper, better quality and safer than private hotels.
Many people know about Tirupati but here I am giving some information for those who don't know:
The city Tirupati i is known as a pilgrimage center because of its many famous temples dedicated to incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Tirupati is situated at the foothills of the Eastern Ghats in Chittoor district of Andrapradesh state in India. Adjacent to this city is the Lord Balaji temple on the Tirumala hill. Lord Balaji is also known as 'Ejumalayan' as it is the ruler of the seven mountains namely Seshatri, Neelatri, Garudatri, Anjanatri, Vrushatri, Narayanatri and Venkatatri. Although Tiruvenkadam and Tirupati, the home of Padmavati's mother, are two cities, they are commonly called Tirupati by the same name. The one above the hill is called Upper Tirupati and the other is called Lower Tirupati.
Last 19th we got darshan ticket at 5 pm. So we traveled by car from our town and reached on the evening of the 18th. After reaching Tirupati around seven, we stayed at the management hotel we had booked there. The next morning we went to a temple called Kalakasti in Tirupati and after doing darshan, we left for a while and left for Tirumala which is about 30 kilometers away from Tirupati.
The mountain road from Tirupati to Tirumala is very well laid out. A path to go up and a path to go down are separate. It can drive any vehicle very easily. There is a check post before going up, where every vehicle is allowed only after thorough checking. Also plastic is not allowed while going up
We reached Tirumala around three o'clock. It is a ritual for Hindus to shave their heads at Tirumala. So after reaching Tirupati we reached the shaving place and shaved my son and husband, Then there are facilities for bathing. After bathing, we went for temple darshan with a dot called namam on our forehead.
At around 5 o'clock we went to darshan queue, good job it was less crowded there were many ques like free darshan rs 50 ticket darshan 300 rs ticket darshan and vip ticket darshan we had booked 300 rs ticket so we stopped at anthew for two hours after visiting the temple We got darshan and we had good darshan and came out at about eight o'clock.
After the darshan we came out and spent some time in the garden there and then left and reached our room. This time was very pleasant and happy. Everyone was happy and had a good time.
