Assalamoalaikum and greetings to all steemians.I hope everyone is fine and doing well, time passes so quickly we have reached the end week of season 11 but I must say that this season is ending with interesting topic:

Sports and games play an important role in our lives it promotes physical fitness, teamwork, discipline and also help in stress relief because I think that a healthy body and mind are the key to happiness .Sports also play vital role in teaching time management like skills.
Every country has its own popular sports like football, hockey, basketball,badminton etc and the audience has a special sentiments and emotions towards these games.In my country Pakistan 🇵🇰 CRICKET is the most popular sport.cricket is not just a game for us it is a passion and emotion that unites our country.
It is believed that cricket started from England and then slowly spread throughout the world.To play cricket the most important thing required is bat and ball.It is played between 2 teams and each team has 11 members.Each team has best fielders, bowlers and batsman.The team which makes more score is the winning team.
Yes, of course Cricket is played in international competition but it is not a part of Olympics.Olympic is held after each four years where people from different counties participate and show their skills.ICC World cup that is held after each four years and top cricket teams from all across the world take part in it.Our Pakistani team also participate in it and amazed the world with its great performances.ICC International Cricket Council sets all the rules and regulations for this game.
Other tournaments like T20, test series ,Asia cup and ODI are also played on international level.On the other hand PSL Pakistan super league is one the most popular competition plays on national level.
Yes, I can proudly say that our cricket players are world class.In 1992 ICC world cup held in Australia and New Zealand was won by our Pakistani team and they became champions all across the world.In 1992 world cup our team was ruled by our one of the best player Imran khan.He is our former cricketer and Prime minister of Pakistan.On 26,August 2023 ODI match was held between Pakistan and Afghanistan and our brilliant team won the match by 59 runs.

- Shoaib Akhter is known for setting a record of fastest delivery bowling against England.
- Shahid Afridi is famous for most sixes in international cricket against different counties.
- Babar amAzam has set the record of most runs jn the test series by captain.
- Shaheen shah Afridi the youngest pakistani player has set a record of most wicket taker in 2021.
The list is very long but I'll end up here by mentioning names of remaining players:
Waseem Shah ,Haris Rauf, Haris Sohail, Shadab Khan, Sarfaraz and Fakhar Zaman.
No, unfortunately our country's favorite game and national game is not same.Pakistan's national game is HOCKEY.Hockey is also very famous in Pakistan but not as cricket.Even its fan following is not as high as cricket game, that's why it is the main topic of debate in our country to either declare cricket as our national game or give hockey importance as we have given to cricket sport.Both the games ae really close to our heart.
It's surprising how hockey is the national game but cricket is being played and cherishes across Pakistan.
