MY BEAUTIFUL STRESS-FREE DAY
Apprently, Friday was one of those rare, stress-free days that left me feeling both fulfilled and relaxed. My day started with a short health talk at the Renal clinic with my chief, where she gave health talk on the dietary management of kidney failure. It was an enlightening session, as she discussed the vital roles nutrition plays in managing kidney health. The interaction with patients and the opportunity to impart knowledge about how specific diets can help manage their condition was truly rewarding. I felt good to be part of the conversation that could positively impact lives and inprove our patients health conditions.

After the health talk, My colleague and I werw assigned to represent our department a seminar on "Acute Flaccid Paralysis among children less than 5 years old." In the hospital Auditorium. This seminar was organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with the Cross River State Ministry of Health. The event was focused on the critical importance of immunization for both children and adults. The discussions were comprehensive, covering the causes, symptoms, and treatment of acute flaccid paralysis, and must importantly, strategies to prevent it among children. The seminar was deeply informative, offering insights into the challenges faced in controlling this condition and the measures that can be taken to overcome them.

The seminar, started in the morning at about 10am, well-organized and ran smoothly. We had a lunch break at 1pm, which provided us much-needed moment to relax and network with other health professionals. Thereafter, we resumed the lectures, which concluded by 3 pm. By the end of the seminar, I felt a sense of accomplishment. I had gained valuable knowledge that I could apply in my work, and I was inspired by the ongoing efforts to combat diseases like acute flaccid paralysis which was very common in some rural areas

What made the day even more beautiful was the fact that my workload at the office was minimal 😀 There were no ward rounds or patient reviews scheduled for me, because my colleagues kindly handled those responsibilities. This break from the usual hectic routine allowed me to focus entirely on the seminar without any lingering stress about unfinished tasks. What a great relieved 😍
After the seminar, I returned home got freshened up, had a light dinner, and then took some time to share an online recap of the seminar with my colleagues online. It was a pleasant way to reinforce what I had learned and to ensure that everyone also get up to date on the important information shared.

By 9 pm, I was ready to unwind. I reflected on the day with gratitude, appreciating the knowledge I had gained and the stress-free environment that had made it all possible. It was truly a beautiful day, one that left me enriched, relaxed, and ready for whatever challenges tomorrow might bring.
Happy weekend to you all 😍❤
