Chrysanthemum. The end of October, it started snowing, these are the last flowers that are still blooming in my garden. Every year I watch them finish their next life cycle and go under the snow. We have already had nights when the temperature dropped below -5 degrees. The weather forecast shows a peculiar temperature swing in the region of 0 degrees with a range from +2 to -6 degrees. How long will chrysanthemums be able to withstand such weather?
It seems to me that this is a subspecies of the Korean chrysanthemum, the longest-flowering and unpretentious chrysanthemum.
Chrysanthemums begin to bloom in August. It is a plant of short daylight hours.

Хризантема. Конец октября, начал идти снег, это последние цветы, которые всё еще цветут в моём саду. Каждый год я наблюдаю ща тем, как они заканчивают свой очередной жизненный цикл и уходят под снег. У нас уже температура опускалась ниже -5 градусов. Прогноз погоды показывате своеобразные температурные качели в районе 0 градусов с диапозоном от +2 до -6 градусов. Как долго смогут еще противостоять такой погоде хризантемы?
Мне кажется, что это подвид корейской хризантемы, самой долгоцветущей и неприхотливой хризантемы.
Хризантемы начинают цвести в августе. Это растение короткого светового дня.


I will not say that my wife and I somehow take great care of these flowers. Mom usually plants one-year-olds on beds with cabbage: calendula, marigolds, cosmea. This year my wife was forming a flower bed with some flowers-annuals. And chrysanthemums are planted in a flower bed under the window. This flowerbed is protected by the house from cold north and east winds. It is located on the warm southern side. In spring, on this flower bed, the first multi-year spring flowers begin to bloom, especially tulips bloom beautifully. In the spring, the snow begins to melt in the first place near the house and the ground warms up. And in autumn, due to this, the life of chrysanthemums is prolonged! The wall warms the flowers.

Я не скажу что мы с женой как-то сильно ухаживаем за этими цветами. Мама обычно высаживает однолетки на грядки с капустой: колендула, бархатцы, космея. Жена в этом году формировала клумбу с какими-то цветами-однолетками. А хризантемы посажены на клумбе под окном. Эта клумба защищена домом от холодных северных и восточных ветров. Она находится с тёплой южной стороны. Весной на этой клумбе начинают первыми цвести разлтчные многолетние весенние цветы, особенно красиво цветут тюльпаны. Весной снег начинает в первую очереть таять вблизи дома и земля прогревается. И осенью за счет этого же продлевается жизнь хризантемам! Стена греет клумбу и цветы.

Phlox. These flowers have almost completely faded, but they still resist the cold and snow, they are standing as before, but their inflorescences are almost completely empty.
Summer is over. What can we find from plants now? Evergreen firs and pines. And red rose hips.

Флоксы. Эти цветы практически уже полностью отцвели, но они всё еще сопротивляются холодам и снегу, они как прежде стоят, но их соцветия уже почти полностью пусты.
Лето закончилось. Что у нас сейчас можно встретить из растений? Вечнозеленые ели и сосны. И красные шиповник.
