FEAR: BEYOND THE PROBLEMS, THERE IS A CHANCE

Greetings and welcome dear readers of this prestigious platform, in this opportunity I would like to share with you, a reflective topic that allows us to determine that life is an up and down and that in this, we will always encounter adverse situations or problematic situations that tend to slow us down and prevent the continuous development that as an individual we should have.

In this sense, the fundamental idea behind this writing is due to a very specific phrase that a coworker has transmitted to me and that in a certain way has become popular among Venezuelans.

“I can't take it anymore, it's getting more chaotic every day".

If we look back, we realize that without a doubt, the situation of the country is alarming, but as the old saying goes "no evil lasts a thousand years, no body can resist it", however, no matter how positive we want to be, there comes a time when as individuals we become desperate because we cannot visualize the opportunities that are presenting themselves beyond the adversities that we have as a country.

So, beyond the existence of a bad government, there are other scenarios in our lives that in a certain way slow down our progress, among which we can find beliefs, fears, doubts, bad advice, bad friendships, among other aspects that play a fundamental role and seek to destabilize our state of mind or emotions, making us feel unable to move forward in order to achieve our goals.

Therefore, and to my way of seeing things, we must learn to live with the mentality and principles of winners, which is based on making objective and timely decisions, in the fusion of taking that first step that represents the guarantee of the beginning of something big in our life, this will be the fuel we need to get us moving, just like a snowball, who prior to the avalanche is only a tiny and small sphere that along its descent in free fall down the mountain, is growing enormously and is adopting speed and much greater strength.

So we must be like this big snowball, take the first step and begin to grow with the journey, because if we are not able to execute that first action, unfortunately we will continue to stagnate and in many cases, this stagnation is simply due to fear of the unknown, fear of what is to come and fear of not being able to control the changes that are presented to us.

We must be aware that when we dare we decide to make two specific decisions, in the first instance to achieve our objectives in a timely manner or failing in the attempt, in one scenario or the other, both serve as experience and both allow us to nourish ourselves with information that will make us grow as people and that will make us improve in the field and in future endeavors that we may have.

In this sense, we all have a great potential to move forward, but in order to do so, we must let go of the person we are and start thinking about the person we want to be, let go of our limitations and start changing our mindset based on a winner or winner's mentality throughout this life.

Therefore, the first thing we must do is to be aware of what I want and why I want to change, and based on these approaches make timely and necessary decisions that will not guarantee success.

If we are aware of what we really want, we will feel motivated and we will have the necessary fuel to face any of the adversities that may come our way and it is here where we must make a firm decision and face an action plan that we can gradually fulfill and that will guarantee our success, remember that motivation runs out but if we are conscious and planned people we will continue moving on those days where our motivation has ceased.

Based on the above, there are people who only make this decision when they fall into a kind of deep hole, personally it has happened to me, there have been moments where adversity is so pressing that in a way we feel cornered and that is where the best ideas arise from which we have managed to achieve specific objectives, so that beyond the adversities, we can not remain stagnant, we can not get carried away by the situation, on the contrary we must gradually seek improvements and detect the positive aspects of the bad time we live.

Personally, I believe that Venezuelans are experts in this field, we have been able to overcome the various adversities that we are currently experiencing and that has not been an impediment for us to continue advancing towards our dreams.

Therefore, and by way of contextualizing the above, I would like to take a fragment of a short story that I read in the text "Dónde te lleven los sueños" by Javier Irióndo. In this text, the author states that during a visit to the hardware store, he noticed that a dog was lying on the carpet at the entrance and was constantly complaining, which caught his attention and he asked one of the workers.

- Do you know what's wrong with the dog? Why is it whining like that?

- Yes, what happens is that under the carpet there is a nail that is bothering him.

- But if there is a nail under the carpet, why doesn't the dog move?

- Maybe it's because it doesn't hurt enough yet.

In this sense, we must be aware of these wise words or scenario that Irióndo presents to us, which makes me think that we should not complain about adversities, let us not be like this dog, on the contrary, let us look for new spaces, new alternatives that allow us to continue moving forward, let us not let that nail, that is to say that our adversities affect our lives, since we are people with the ability to excel beyond them.

Therefore, I dare to ask you, what are you waiting for to start moving? Are you waiting for your nail to go all the way into your guts? If we keep doing the same thing every day, we will be stuck at the same point and in the same place, so my call is to action, to timely movement and to look for the positive aspects of this tough situation we are living in.
