This is an unusual post as I haven't done challenges or contests for a long time, so it's just about time to start something new. Unfortunately time is limited and I can't do everything I want, my engagement is very minimal these days but I'm doing the best I can. I'm hoping to change that in the near future.

My goal with this challenge is to increase engagement on Steem blockchain, bring people together but also to spread the world about Steem on other social media platforms. I'd like to join in and help @acidyo, @theycallmedan and others who are working on promoting Steem on different social media platforms. We all need to do something, can't just wait for things to happen and blame others if they don't. This is an extra chance for attracting new users.

The Concept

The name of the challenge is "Virtual Steem Dinner Challenge" for a very good reason.

We're on Steem blockchain for a long time, some from the beginning, others have jumped in later. Distance unfortunately has a word to say here and like it or not, we can't meet everyone. This is a virtual world for many and only a few get to know each other in real life. I thought it would be great to organize a virtual Steem dinner, where you can invite ten people from Steem, have dinner and get to know them better.

Who To Invite

You have a choice here. You can invite those steemians you're chatting here day by day or you can pick random people you admire (or don't) who's posts you are reading daily but you're not in contact with them. The number can be less than ten as not everyone wants a big crowd, that's not a problem. You have to specify why do you want to meet these Steemias. There must be a reason for each person you want to invite. Please explain the reason and don't just say because you want to meet them.

The Dinner

This section gives you a chance to be creative. Not everyone has experience in the kitchen, which is fine. As this is a virtual dinner, a game basically, you have the opportunity to offer the dinner you like to your guests even thought it's not made by you. You can even offer different dishes for your guests, based on preference (some are vegans or vegetarians). Be creative.

Rules

1. The title of the post MUST start with "Virtual Steem Dinner Challenge", then you can add your title if you need to.
2. Make a list of 10 Steemians (or less) and tell us why do you want to meat each of them, separately (name and reason).
3. Describe the menu you'd like to serve.
4. Tag 2 Steemians who you'd like to participate in the contest.
5. Use the #steemdinner tag, must be one of the first five tags.
6. Tag me @erikah so I can read your post and comment.
7. Share on any social media platform you like and post the link in a comment under your post. This is optional but would be great is you'd be able to do it. It's important to spread the word about this great platform and onboard others.
8. There's no deadline.
