The Symphony of Life Goes on in Japan.

A Japanese man plays his harp in the park while wearing a medical mask.

It’s not all doom and gloom but more life and bloom in Japan at the moment. The next two weeks will be critical in curbing the spread of the corona virus. Drastic measures like the closing down of most public schools from the elementary to high school level goes into effect March 2nd; while toilet paper and other necessities have flown off the shelves in a nation wide panic-Olympics.

Life goes on

As for me, I’ve been keeping an eye on the happenings, it’s hard not to when you are in the eye of the storm. As a Jamaican living in Japan, hearing the news that your own country may or may not allow you into the country of your birth at the present moment makes the situation even more surreal.

How do I feel? I feel and I hope this will pass sooner than we think.

An older couple enjoying the view of the blossoms

At the park last weekend, while my twins played to their delight, I took the opportunity to practice my photography and observe the vibe of the people. Everyone was caught up in the trans of the changing season evident by the blooming plum trees and chilly-warm weather. People were in medical masks, but in Japan it’s very common with or without a “deadly” virus going around. Many women wear them when they can’t bother to put on make up..... seriously.

Many people were out and about taking pictures of the pre-spring phenomena. Couples and their poses , photographers snapping the perfect shot, family and friends just enjoying life.

Even the birds were out singing sweet songs of melodies pure and true, singing , this is my message to you~u~u~~~.

After taking a few shots I went to the spot were I left the boys ( yeah , in any other country and if they were girls I’d never do that ). I followed them through a man made water stream that had been dried out for the winter season.

My weekends aren’t mine anymore, they belong to these dudes for a couple years. Might as well make the best of it. Worrying about a virus or what steem will look like means nothing to them. They just want enjoy this moment and play freely, something we as adults sometimes forget to do.

So how is the situation in Japan ? Well so far so good. If it’s one thing I can say about Japanese people after observing how they dealt with the great earthquake and tsunami first hand is that they put all egos aside and do what needs to be done for the greater good of the whole.

Is coming to Japan safe now?

I’d say yes! Coming here is safe.... but the problem is getting back into your own country. Many foreigners will be leaving Japan come the end of March. Many will be greeted with a 2 week quarantine in their home country and asked to stay away from the public another 2 weeks. Some may not even get to set foot on a plane for a few weeks.

Like any negative situation there is always a silver lining. I believe this virus will reveal a lot of issues in the world that needs fixing. Things could get uglier and if it does, just know that the world will be stronger, more spiritually awake and wiser, ready to move forward on a more righteous path.

I leave you with this song by the legend Dennis Brown, Sitting & Watching.

Hello @dmilliz

This is a simply beautiful publication, with beautiful photos, with beautiful twins, with landscapes, with a beautiful message (forgive the redundancy of the word "beautiful", but that's really how I feel).
Those images and what you propose, which are many things, well, I think it's a very meaningful post.

Enjoying it like children do, we really forget it many times when we become adults...I think we sabotage ourselves.

Women wear masks if they don't have time to put on makeup, which is crazy ha ha ha I couldn't even imagine.

After this whole Coronavirus situation passes we will be stronger, if, at least most, logic says that in difficult situations we become stronger, I hope this is the case for everyone.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks man! It was a spontaneous trip trying to find somewhere to take the boys. Had no clue the place would be looking so beautiful. It is good to go with the flow of life. Yeah man, I am glad I brought my camera to snap these pics, Indeed, this posts reflects the current state of things here and my thoughts, glad I got it out and your confirmation is reassuring.

Yup, my wife actually put me on to than about the make up lol.

That is the hope, mankind has been through far worse and has progressed so I expect this to be a builder to better the world and even the blockchain space will see some glory I believe.

Thanks for the super comment bro.

Beautiful post buddy after a long time...

Hi. Thanks! So my other posts weren’t beautiful? 🤨 hahaha joke. Glad to see you are here still doing your thing:)

Hi @dmilliz. It's hard to think of the virus crown with these beautiful pictures that you share in this post.
Life goes on! Your twins, you and your family will be fine ...
I think you have to have optimism and hear Reggae to find harmony with the universe.
I hope I can visit Japan at some point in my life. Regards

Sometimes we have to take our minds of all that is going on and really be in the moment. Who knows what tomorrow will bring but let us be grateful for today. Thanks, these boys keep me busy but gotta try my best show them a good time:)
Yes, Japan is a wonderful place, spring is the best time to visit.
