On winning totally the Four Hills Tournament in Germany and in Austria!
Janne Ahonen was a Finnish ski jumper, and overall he was the ski jumper that has most overall victories in the Four Hills Tournament for ski jumping. He won in 1998/99, 2002/03, 2004/05, 2005/06 and 2007/08. Jens Weißflog was the first ski jumper that won four overall victories in the Four Hills Tournament, when he went out victorious in 1983/1984, 1984/1985, 1990/1991 and 1995/1996. The German earlier ski jumper Sven Hannawald, Kamil Stoch and Ryōyū Kobayashi are the only ski jumpers than have won all of the four gutters in the same Four Hills Tournament in Germany and in Austria.
Norway should be satisfied with getting a medal in the tournament for ski jumping in Germany and in Austria. The following Norwegian ski jumpers have won the Four Hills Tournament one time or several times:
- Olaf B. Bjørnstad (1953/54)
- Toralf Engan (1962/63)
- Torgeir Brandtzæg (1964/65)
- Bjørn Wirkola (1966/67, 1967/68 and 1968/69)
- Ingolf Mork (1971/72)
- Espen Bredesen (1993/94)
- Sigurd Pettersen (2003/04)
- Anders Jacobsen (2006/07)
Bjørn Wirkola is the Norwegian ski jumper that has won the Four Hills Tournament several times, actually three times! And therefore we have slogan in Norway, «To jump after Wirkola». You should be strong in your mental health to win this week with ski jumping. Since I come from Norway, I am proud to mention who of our ski jumpers that have managed to win this jumping week in Germany and in Austria. First, they are jumping in Germany in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and after that they are jumping in Austria in Innsbruck and in Bischofshofen!
The German and Austrian ski jumping week, usually called only for the Four Hills Tournament consists of four jumping races that since January 1953 have been arranged at the turn of the year in Germany and in Austria. The races are a part of The World Cup, and the Four Hills Tournament is considered as one of the most prestigious competitions within ski jumping, just after Olympic Games and World Championship!
All the ski jumpers through all times in the Four Hills Tournament have had a body with genes, and they have operated like a guru. And it is prestigious to win the whole competition, but also to have the silver medal or the bronze medal, and these placements are total. Your genes, are consisted of six parts, three genes that are common for all people, one special gene that marks your personality, and two genes having something to do with which environments that you have been within. And this is human biology in all the ways you are finding today, and in the world history ever since.
Today, Norway has Halvor E. Granerud to be the best ski jumper for Norway in the Four Hills Tournament for 2020/21. It is impressive if he gets a medal totally in the competition, and we can hope and believe that he is trying to do that, and that he dreams to do that in his fantasy. If you ever managed to jump for the three best placements totally, it is a great result at home home and abroad!
