On being like Father of the Nation Einar Gerhardsen: What should we believe of ourselves?
You are not more qualified than your background, and everyone is in accordance with his or her abilities, competence and capacity in a boundless world. What you take into your imaginations and thoughts are depending of what you have processed with the education you have.
Professor Jan-Benedict Steenkamp and professor Richard Bagozzi know how to assess construct, validiate constructs, and measuring the concepts as you should do in empirical analysis. We cannot go away from the best business schools and the best universities in the world, since we can be there. But you should admit your competence, your background, and what you are capable to do. Unless we do not set requirements to the different positions at at level in the different societies in the world, it is disc boom! What you have in your head is dependent on where you have been, and what you have done, and nobody can determine what you should be, aince the thoughts and books and journals and study programs you know for yourself. The dumbest peasants sometimes get the biggest potatoes, and this is due to the fact that everybody understands that running a company is dependent on the revenues in relation to the costs. But we are learning much about these things at NHH in Bergen, and the people educated from there, should get better position and better salary in relation to people having no competence, bad competence or low competence. We are here to use our limited time, and the main point is that we are realizing ourselves in relation to what we have learned. And world class institutions are just the schools beiing exposed to international competition, and therefore we should not hide something away, but we should understand the facts and the reality in the evolution processes that people want to explain at earth.
The Father of the Nation in Norway was our prime minister Einar Gerhardsen. And he stated that academic background is extremely important for develeopment and wealth, but he also said that we should live and work like humans, and that we also should take account to social issues. But he also said that nobody can deceive us or talk us out of academia, since the background you have also have something to do with your personality. And that was the philosophy of Einar Gerhardsen, and that we are here on earth to make hell and heaven as we are, but also to use our knowledges in relation to what we have learned in the study programs. And there can be many silly persons around, but they are quickly stripped, and according to our famous author Henrik Ibsen, life is such that is you take the lie of life or the self-deception or the illusions of an average person, you take the happiness in life from him or her immediately. We cannot be better than our schools and experiences reveal in our backgrounds. And this is the reason why many will not talk about these issues, or they are getting frustrated or angry. But we should be ourselves, and front our background with theories, methods and data as good as possible.
There are enough opinions about everything, but you should always ask why people have the opinions as they have, and where they have gone. You should also examine what these opinions mean with regards to different things going on in societies at every level. And we cannot trust in anybody, unless there is bad or wrong perceptions about what is going on, and we often just get the things in the media channels that many agree on, and we cannot agree in all things if the best books stores and the best books in the world, for instance from New Jersey and Amazon really tell us. We should love humans and people being interested in doing the working tasks properly, and it is often important with volutary work, if this is the way to work should be done taking all things into account!
