I have been participating in several contests, in diverse communities I am part of. For some of this contest, I have had to share prices of products and services in Steem currency. The tool I have been using to do so is steemscan.com. Let’s review this tool!

The latest transaction shows the block ID, the ID, the Timestamp, the Sender, The Receiver/Permalink/Id, the Type of transaction, and the Amount/%/Payload. If we want to review a specific type of transaction we can filter the information by Transfer, Comment, Delete Comment, Account Update, Account Update2, Account Claim, Account Create, Custom JSON, Vote, Claim Reward, Curation Reward, Delegate, Witness Vote, PowerDown, Transfer to Savings, PowerUp, Orde Create, and Order Cancel.

The latest blocks section shows the ID, the height, the Timestamp, the Block Transactions amount, and who mined it.

At the WITNESS section of the platform, we can find the information for the total number of witness and total Steem mined, as well as the individual information for all witnesses. Their rank, id, approval (MV), status, version, last mined, missed, price feed, reg fee, and vote.

Voting for a witness is easy, made easier by steemscan.com as on the witness section that we are reviewing, the last icon on each witness information is “Vote!” First, choose the witness you want to vote for, click on the vote icon, and follow the instructions.

Let's cast our vote for steemchiller. Click on “Vote!” Icon, click “Continue” on witness vote. You will have to log in for this transaction and the active key is necessary. Once you are logged in there is just one more step to do, click on “Approve” and voila, you had voted for a witness!

Now is time to talk about DApps. These decentralized web and mobile applications can be used on the Steem blockchain. DApps provides information and tools that can help us to achieve our goals. I use, of course, Steemit. Best social blogging platform that has ever existed. I also use steemworld.org on a daily basis, mainly to see my Steem power and some other information about Steemit. I will be reviewing steemyy.com for my next achievement task. I had checked it before but I need to spend more time to fully understand and use it.

As a newcomer my main goal now is to build up my steem power, I will not be converting my Steem into other currencies any time soon. But when the time comes I will use the “Quick Convert” feature as it is easy, safe, and charges a fair fee amount.

If I wanted to convert 100 STEEM, I would go to the Quick Convert section, input the Steem amount, choose the currency to be converted ( USDT, BTC, or TRX), enter the withdrawal address, and click on “Create Order”.

The Search sections allow us to search for a specific transaction, block, or account. On the transaction, we can also choose the transaction ID, the type, amounts, and dates. On the block, we can input the total amount from, to, mined by, and date as additional parameters. On the account, we can input the username, voting for, balance from, and to.
