Headlines are necessary elements as they show the structure of your post and make the reader understand.

Put # at the beginning of your text. And the more the number of the # symbol is, the headline size would decreases so to make have a big headline, use one # and it you want it to reduce in size, use two.

With Text, you are able to do so many things on steemit

But you have to justify your text so as to make sense to the readers

To justify your text, you have to add two symbols at the beginning and end of your text. The symbols are < and >

For example:

I came to your house last night but you were not around. The texts has too much spaces but if I add the symbols, it would justify

Adding link on steemit, you can just put the @ symbol and add username without space to show steemit users but while adding link, 🔗 just open this "[" symbol, out any text like "source" or licenseable in side it, then add this symbol ] and without space, just add this symbol ( then put the kink and then close it with ")"

To write italic word

without space in the beginning of your post, add "*" and to the end of the word without space

In the beginning of your text, add "**" without space and then use it to end it without space

There are more markdowns but if a steemian do a particular one you don't understand and you want to understand it, just change the "it" in the steemit to "d"; once you do that, it would be steemd.
