Introduction

Hi steeemians, it's been a wonderful experience here, learning how to apply markdown has help me enhance my writing skills here on Steemit. Markdown are those tools in Steemit use to make our writing appear clearer, appealing and easy to read.
It makes our work so attractive to our readers.
There are different markdowns we can apply to our work, I will be applying at least 5 of them in this work as the task requirements for this achievement post.

Headline.

Here is a sample of application of headline by using the #tag infront of text. The number of #tag determines the size of the headline.

Food companies in Nigeria.

Bold text.

To write a text or paragraph in bold just add (**) to the beginning and end of the text or paragraph. Here is an example:

I love to drink tea every morning. But where there is no tea, I can take just a cup of milk. It helps to keep my brain every active and alert.

Italics.

To apply Italics in a text or paragraph, simply add (*) to the beginning and the end of the text or paragraph. Here is an example:

This result show that the population of farmers are reducing as the years go by.

Citing a work.

To cite a work down by someone else, introduce (>) in the beginning of the text to be cited. Here is an example:

Political groups in Nigeria has increased within the past five years.

Creating Tables.

To put text or numbers in tabular form, it begins with (|-----|-----) depending on the number of columns needed. Here is an example.

Picture alignment.

This is placing pictures side by side where you have two or more pictures. It can also be applied with just one picture and text. The picture stays at either right or left while the text is place by the other side. Here are examples of aligning pictures, and picture with text.

Tuesdays in Aba are very busy because the work load of Mondays are added to it due to the sit-at-home going on in the Eastern of Nigeria. Even though this exercise has a negative effect, it has come to stay.

Conclusion

Finally, there are lots of markdowns use to make our works attractive and clear. And applying them shows I have improved in my writing skills here on Steemit.
