Achievement 2 - Basic security- Saving My Steemit Keys & Knowing The Usage Of those Keys
Hello steemians, I'm Sahil and I have been given the chance to write achievement 2 and I also thank Steemit curators for verifying me through Achievement 1, my introductory post. Now, I've come to tell all of you that what I understood by the keys of steemit. There are several keys to steemit. I'll try to share my knowledge with all my new steemian friends. So let's get started...
1. Posting Key
Posting key is one of the most commonly used keys among others. this key is used to posing posts/articles, commenting/replying to another post, upvoting/downvoting another post on steemit. This is low tier key and we can log in on steemit with this key. Also, steemit keys are so important for us, so it's our responsibility to keep these keys safely. The green arrow on the bottom end of the post is for upvote and the red arrow is for the downvote.

My Achivement 1 post.
2. Active Key
The Active Key is mostly used for financial aspects of Steem. This is the second most used key among all the keys. Active Key controls all of the funds inside your account. By the use of this key, we can transfer Steem or SBD, placing orders on the Steem Exchange, changing your profile picture, powering up, or powering down Steem.
Remember: if you're not doing something related to money or related to changing an account setting, you don't have to use your active key.
3. Owner Key
The Owner Key is the most powerful and important key we can also call it a Master Key. It includes the "master power" and can do literally anything to your account. By the use of this key, we can do everything that posting key, active key can do and also we can reset every other key, including the owner key itself and also we can vote for Steem witnesses.
4. Memo Key
Memo key is one of the powerful features. With this key we can do encrypting and decrypting private messages (read/create memos) and when transferring funds.
The Steemit security keys are so difficult to keep memorizing them mind. I was told that if the get lost it is very difficult to retrieve them from the system, especially the Owner key.
Because of security purpose, I have kept my both "Posting key and Active key" are hidden. Which I reveal them before seeing those passwords. I have been able to save them in my Gmail account as well as in notepad in mobile. I think this will help me during my transaction.
Also don't share your keys with anyone, this can lead to loss of your account.

Other places you can keep copies of your Steemit keys offline are on like a usb stick or on printed paper copies you put somewhere safe.
