Greetings to everyone in this community as a whole and a warm welcome to the newbies in this platform. There are certain noteworthy things I've come to discover about steemit as a whole. At first, I thought it was just anyhow platform where you invest, but come to think of it, it's totally free and I'm so much flabbergasted by its tight security measures. With the permission keys it houses, i don't think anyhow user or personnel will be able to do otherwise. It's encryption key is designed in a way that protects its user's account from being hacked. Steemit has five permission keys which includes, active key, posting key, master key, memo and owner key.

I'll discuss the functions of each of these keys in my content. I'll start by answering some vital questions worthy of note when dealing with steemit wallet and its permission keys....

Question 1

Have you retrieved your steemit keys?

Yes I have and it is saved successfully in my Google drive.

Do you know the functions of the 5 permission keys?
Yes I do and there are stated below. I’ll start with the mother of all keys

Master key: This is the first key given to every newbie while signing up into this social media platform and is used to retrieve all other keys like the active key,memo key,owner and posting key. It is with the help of this key you get other encryption keys in the platform.

Posting key: From the word “posting”, your mind should tell you that it is a key used to post. It is with this key that you are granted access to create contents in this social media platform. With the posting key, you can create contents, follow other steemit users, resteem post , comment on posts, upvote and downvote post, edit post and the likes. In fact, the key controls everything concerning content creation, engagement and activities done in the platform.

Active key : is used for all transactions in steemit power up, steem transfer and SBD conversion are all done with the help of this key.

Memo key :is used for encrypting and decrypting memos in the STEEMIT platform.

Owner key: is the most important key in the STEEMIT platfrom as it can be used for recovering compromised accounts.

How do you plan to save your master key?

I plan to save it offline

Question 4

Do you know how to transfer your liquid steem token to another account?

Yes I do and here are the steps..

• First I go to my wallet and login with my posting key and username. After logging in, I clicked the drop down arrow close to my steem

• Then I'll click on transfer and input the amount I want to transfer. I then input the username of the person I want to transfer to and then put the purpose for the transfer in memo box. Confirm transfer....
  

• You input your active key and click ok, then it is sent to the person.

Question 5

Do you know how to power up liquid steem?

• I went to my wallet and click the drop down arrow

• I then clicked power up and put the amount I want to power up and then I clicked Power up. I clicked okay and inputed my active key and username before it was powered up.
