Good day to all our Steemit community. I am very happy to be a proud member of this platform. Meanwhile, I have completed achievement 1 and achievement 2 and they have been verified. So, I am slowly connecting myself deeper and deeper.

Steemit is a platform where we can express our inner thoughts and hidden treasures. We can use our brains and generate ideas. From there we can write content about entertainment, education, nature, travel, friends and family, etc. But every organization or platform has certain rules, policies, and etiquette. Steemit also has some rules and etiquette. So we should maintain etiquette in content writing.
There are several rules we should follow when it comes to content writing etiquette. Some of our dos and don'ts are:

what should we do?

1. Own value addition for the reader
   Readers don't read just to read. They do it to gain knowledge, discover answers, and entertain. These are all values that readers want in exchange for their time reading your content. So we should create it from our own creativity.

2. Make editing and proofreading a habit.
   While writing the content, we may make some spelling, grammatical, and syntax errors that make the writing look unprofessional. We avoid this by proofreading and editing with different tools.

3. Choose a niche that suits us best.
   If we want to make our writing exceptional and wonderful for the readers, we should choose a niche. The greater our expertise in a particular niche, the more valuable our services will be to potential customers. As a result, we can command better rates for our writing.

4. Learn more and become a master.
   Our goal as writers is to attract more readers. So we have to learn more and become masters.

What should we not do?

1. Don't plagiarize content.
   Stealing is strictly prohibited. Posting directly copied content can result in severe penalties.
   What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is a form of work where we use the ideas, creativity, and intelligence of others. It is not only limited to text but also images. When we create this kind of content, it is called plagiarized content.
There is no problem with using the ideas, creativity, and intelligence of others. But we should give credit to the original owner. We should use the source. So, if we need some examples or other quotes, images, or other content to enrich our content, we should use the source to give credit to the original owner.

1. Don't use complicated vocabulary.
   Complex vocabulary and jargon can make readers lose interest in our content, and consequently, they may not read it. We should use short paragraphs, simple language, and images whenever possible.

2. Don't write wordy or repetitive content.
   It is not a good idea to use too many words in our sentences and content. Many of us add irrelevant content to reach a certain word count or repeat what we have already said, but in different words. Instead, write content that saves the reader time.

3. Write with flair.
   Content writing is not something we can learn through technique. The writing process involves a lot of trial and error, and the finished product can often be very different from the original idea.

The above-mentioned etiquette such as some Dos and Don’ts can help us navigate the writing journey more effectively and create content that provides value to our readers.
