Hello, greetings to all my steemians out there, I hope you all are doing well, I'm good as well, I'm so delighted to be here tonight to complete my Achievement 3 task, firstly all thanks to "Newcomers Community" for giving me this opportunity to be here tonight to complete my task, without wasting our time let's start from here...

Firstly, I will like to give the meaning of the word "Protocol" before i proceed to the next topic which is Plagiarism.

WHAT IS PROTOCOL?

Protocol simply refers to the set of rules or guidelines that governs the behaviour of a thing.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?

Plagiarism can simply be defined as the act of copying someone's work from a source or somewhere and be claiming as if you're the owner without citing it's original source, this simply refers to plagiarism which is not permitted in steemit platform.

In the other way round many people can also define plagiarism as the act of passing someone's idea without the owner noticing it, let's try and avoid plagiarism by all means.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

  1. Self Plagiarism: It is the act of a person to recycle his or her own work.

  2. Global Plagiarism: It simply refers to the act of passing off a word which is written by another person as your own.

  3. Paraphrasing Plagiarism: This simply refers to the process of rephrasing someone's else idea to present them as
your own without citing the source.

  4. Patchwork Plagiarism: It simply refers to the act of joining the part of different sources to create your own text.

  5. Verbatim Plagiarism: This is the act of copying someone's word's into your own work without attributing them.

  6. Completed Plagiarism: it is the act of stealing someone's work to be submitting it as your own.

"The ethics of plagiarism have turned into the narcissism of small differences: because journalism cannot own up to its heavily derivative nature, it must enforce originality on the level of the sentence".
