Today I am very glad that my achievement 2 has been verified. I will proceed to my next Achievement, that is Achievement 3. This time, I will be telling you about Plagiarism.

What is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism is defined as the act of copying another person's idea, words or word and pretend that they are your own. It is the using of another person's work without giving proper credit to the source.

 **Types of Plagiarism**

Direct Plagiarism

Also known as complete Plagiarism. It is more common in academic writing. This type of Plagiarism occurs when someone tries to submit an entire research paper of another person and pretend to be the actual owner.
It is the word for word transcription of a section of someone else work without citing the source or quotation marks. This type of Plagiarism is really unethical.

Paraphrasing Plagiarism

Also known as incremental plagiarism, is the most common type of Plagiarism. In this type of Plagiarism, the copied work is not mixed with new ideas, research or concepts. When you paraphrase the original idea in your own words, the borrowed material stays the same through out the new piece.

Self plagiarism

This type of Plagiarism is also called Auto-plagiarism. Self plagiarism occurs when you copy your own writing, weather intentional.or not. A person who commits Self-plagiarism I guity of summarizing or repurposing their new work instead of writing a new piece from scratch on the same topic. This means reusing your work that have already been published or sold out. This involves recycling previously collected data.

Mosaic/ Patchwork plagiarism

In this type of Plagiarism, the work of someone else is simply paraphrased without proper citation. At times it is very difficult to detect a plagiarized material because it has been mixed with new sources and ideas.

Resource-Based Plagiarism

This occurs when you come an incorrect source. It is a misleading citation. It can also occur when researchers use secondary source of data, but only end up citing the primary source of data.

Accidental Plagiarism

This occurs when someone neglect to cite their sources, or misquote their sources, or unintentionally paraphrases a source using similar words, group of words without properly citing the source.

How to keep away from plagiarism
I really find this topic to be of utmost importance. Most of us are used to the concept of "copy and paste" we go and copy someone else writing and post on our walls or blog without prior permission and giving proper credit to the real owner. Let us not steal people's work. We should always at all times cite the source of any material we use if it's not from us. Let us use the citation method at all times. Always citing where an external article came from.

Citation method
There are numerous ways to cite a source, example, through Verbatim quote and also through in-text citation
For example, I took a text from Google and posted it here, it won't be enough if I just wrote," The source of this text is Google" I would also have to provide the link to the specific page in Google the text was extracted from. I will also make sure I enclose all "Copied and paste" sentences in a quotation marks"" or formated using the >character.
Each sentence, paragraph that does not originate from you should be referenced to indicate it's origin.

Add a citation

"To maintain good health, limit your consumption of empty calories and instead try to get your calories from foods that are rich in other nutrients." Source

• Use the little ideas you have gotten from this article to keep away from plagiarism.

• Try to not to copy anyone. Write your own article with your own personal article.

• Please Include links to free Images Source in your post.
