Hello everyone,

This is my third achievement according to the newcomers guide. I did my achievement 1 and 2 and now I'm going to explain about the content etiquettes in steemit. I will explain the answers for the requested areas in the newcomers guide.

• What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is known as stealing of one's data by another or copying from another person. When writing about something that we are less aware, we try to find them from the internet and also copy and paste. This is known as PLAGIARISM. Stealing of one's data and copy paste the same is not good action.

When the same person copies his own document again that is also plagiarism as it was once published.

• What should we do?

To avoid the plagiarism we can add citations to the document we plan to publish. You can add the links of the original post when making the document. To copy an image we can add the image sources below the image and have the image in the document. We can include citations for the images, words and sentences.

• How to avoid Plagiarism?

We can first think of making something from our own ideas. We need to take time to think deeply and get our own ideas to write something. I think our own ideas are the best as it is original.

When using images it is better if we can design the images of our own but if in case we want to get it from a website we can include the image citations and source the images. I will show an example.

If we really want to get details from a website we also can copy it but we should include its sources too. The following example shows how to add citations to a text.

The meaning of life, or the answer to the question: "What is the meaning of life?", pertains to the significance of living or existence in general.

As I saw in the steemit platform, I think the best way to do own articles is creating things related to our daily life, cooking and creative things.

• Types of Plagiarism

There are different types plagiarism. I have identified 4 of the types of plagiarism. I will explain one by one.

01.Direct Plagiarism

Direct plagiarism by its name we can see that it talks about the direct copying of words of phrases or images from a different source. This is done intentionally. Even without quotation marks the context is directly copied from a different source.

02.Self plagiarism

This is the copying of one's own images or text in another place. Here people may use their own details in a different place. They need to source it as well. Even though the details belong to the writer if it is previously published somewhere it is plagiarism to use it again without sourcing.

03.Mosaic Plagiarism

This is something academy related. When the context is copied by changing few words but the structure keeps the same. This paraphrasing is done academically when writing reports or articles.

04.Accidental Plagiarism

Accidental meant without intention. This plagiarism happens may be due to less education about the plagiarism. This things can happen accidently. May be two or more people can have the same idea and write them in different sources without plagiarizing intention.
