My achievement 3.
what is plagiarism.
Plagiarism is the appropriation of another person's work which might be text or image without any attempt of giving the source any credit.
Types of plagiarism are:
- Copying words or idea from someone without citing the source.
- Submitting someone's work or word without the person's consent.
- Failing to put direct quotes in quotation marks.
- Given incorrect information about a particular source of quotation.
- Paraphrasing text from source without citations.
- Citing material as paraphrased but relying too much on the source by using the exact original words from the source.
How to avoid plagiarism;
By quoting another person's written or spoken words.
By paraphrasing another person's spoken or written words.
Give credit when using theories ideas, opinions, research of another person.
Give reference to the historical, statistical, or scientific facts of data that are not your own.
Example.
Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious infection that usually attacks your lungs. It can also spread to other parts of your body, like your brain and spine. A type of bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis causes it.source
