Hello my fellow steemians, how are you doing, hope you all doing grate.

Here i want to write about my achievement2 which talks about basic security. And one may ask, what is security? Security actually means safety and the measure taken to be safe or protected. For example, where i do my day to day business, the government put some measures such as one must not come into the business premises in an odd hour and put some security personnel to implement such orders. Furthermore, on my own, i try to put security doors such as roller shuttle, doors and padlocks to ensure proper security. Now i want to talk the five(5) basic security in steemit, their functions and restrictions.

Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Yes i have and they are as follows;

• Masterkey
• Posting key
• Private active key
• Owner key
• Memo key

Do you know each these key functions and restrictions

• Master key; the master key as the name imply is key that is used to derive every other keys thats related to my account including the owner key. Without the master key, you cannot change your password or memo key. To prevent your account being hacked or stolen, you must keep key your master key safe.

• Posting key; the posting key allows you to publish a post or comment, it can also be used to edit a post, to upvote and downvote, posting key is used because you can only upvote or downvote someone when you are login. You can as well use it to resteem a content, follow up people. Further more, you can use posting key to mute account.

• Private active key; the private active key can be used to transfer a token from one person to another. You can use active key to power up steem as i will show you as i proceed. Conversion of SBD to steem is made possible by active key. You can also use active key to vote for wittnesses, place an order on an exchange, to ascertain profile changes, publish a wittness price feed and last but not the list it can also be used to create a new user.

• Owner key; the owner has awesome functions such as reset owner, active and posting keys. It is used recover your account and also decline voting rights.

• Memo key; the memo key is used to send an encrypted message and view an encrypted message.

How do you plan to keep your master password?

The master password being the most important key have kept very securely and the mesasure i have adopted to achieving this was to save it in my google account and i also write it out offline. This is incase i loose or forget my google account password, i can easily retrieve them back from my out from my note book.

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes, when you login into your steem account, click wallet and below you will see steem, steem power and steem dollar. Click on the drop down arrow on the steem and you will see transfer

Then click on transfer, a page will open that will require the username you want to transfer, the amount you wish to transfer input them and click next.

You will now be directed to another page where you will need to authorize the transaction of which here, i used my private active key and then click on the sign botton below

Do you know how to power up your steem?

Yes i know, we will still use the procedure above. Login to your steem account. When this is done click on the wallet and below is listed, steem, steem power and steem dollar. Hence we are looking for steem power click on it and page will appear

When that is done. Enter the amount you want to power up and click power up

When you have done that, you will be redirected to another page where you will need to authorize your transaction by inputting your private active key and click ok. Boom, you account is power up immediately.
